Why Im happy its not on 360 (not Fanboyism)

This if for the xboxers out there who look on and add their it should be on 360 comments.
Im not starting a war by any means, 360 is a good system for the most part despite the RROD.

Although I feel very sorry for 360 owners when it comes to baseball, at the same time I wouldnt change a thing.

Pound for pound PS3 is known to be the better machine and can perform at a higher level. That fact right there is pretty much the entire reason why I thank the lord the show isnt a ported game to the 360.
The Show can take advantage of all the performance perks of playstation and the Blu Ray disc, if there were to be a game on 360 everything would be cut down to make things "fair" for both parties.

Im not saying PS3 destroys xbox or anything but it has a small leg up in terms of specifics. I just want the best baseball game possible and with The Show I know with SCEA being the team developing everything PS3 style im going to get it.
just my 2 cents...

and yes I know xbox is outselling blahblahblah that really doesnt matter to me, I dont even care if sony never passes MS in the Console war, I just want my baseball game looking as best as possible.

Re: Why Im happy its not on 360 (not Fanboyism)

before i got my ps2 (now ps3) back a couple years agoi i was always wanting to have this game ported over or shared on xbox. now that ive seen the light and played the show their is nothing and i do man nothing that can compare to it. not only the game but the men and women that make this kick butt game that we all love to no end. im a very proud owner of a ps3 and wouldnt change a thing. i only own two games (Resistance fall of man) and the show 08.

ive dabbled with the idea of getting like tiger woods or top spin or other games but just dont have the desire to do so. i love the show and im like many MAAAAAAAAAANY others on this very board and around the country that bought the ps3 for one game and one game only THE SHOW!!! the ONLY reason i have resistance is that when i bought my ps3 i had to have something tide me over til 08 came out. but i rarely play it and still have yet to finish it.

the show is all i need... nothing more to be said.

that being said i think they could sell more ps3's if they BUNDLED the show with them ... hint hint nudge nudge...

I totally agree with crash. If this game had to be on both systems then it would be a totally different game and probably not for the better! A game like this is much more suited for the PS3 anyway! I think that when a game is ported from one counsol to another the developers have to build a game that is compatible with both systems thus losing out on the true advantages that one spasific system has to offer.

not to take it off topic a tad but the rumor has been since the next gen stuff stated that games would be designed singley for one system by the game peopel that design games for said system. meaning like for example... assisians creed on both systems should not be a port and each game should have been indivually designed for each systems team. now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

Crash I have both systems and I don't really feel there is a huge difference between the both of them, power wise they are both equally capable of producing fantastic games and there is no doubt that the show could look equally amazing on a 360

however I'm glad they don't decided to port The Show over mainly because ported games suffer no matter which way they are ported from ps3 to 360 or 360 to ps3

the only thing I would love to see is improved online play or else i'm going to be really disappointed

Re: Why Im happy its not on 360 (not Fanboyism)

Actually, none of this is factual. The 360 can pretty much match what the PS3 can do. Although the PS3 technically has more raw power, I remember reading an article that explained the reasons why it didn't matter (the 360 is also more powerful in certain areas than the PS3 as well).

As for the disc content, this has to be the most overused argument that PS3 users site as reasons for superiority. It doesn't matter. There have been a handful of games already that have used the DLC to make up for what the 360 can't hold on disk. Add in the fact that now 360 owners can store the game on their HDD and play it without even using the disk (other than for verification), this becomes even less important. There is really nothing preventing the 360 from performing at an equal level for gaming now.

All that said, this is a moot discussion anyway. I highly doubt SCEA (the "S" being for Sony) is going to start porting games over to the competition anytime soon. Also, I believe it would violate the MLB licensure agreement as it would technically move beyond being a first party title at that point. The bottom line is Sony makes a darn good baseball game and it's for the PS3 only. 2K needs to step it up so 360 owners (exclusively of course, not those who own both systems) can have a decent baseball title to get their hands on. Now that VC has control, there's a better chance of this happening and us receiving two solid baseball titles. Time will tell.

not sure where you get your info from, but I'm a proud owner of the PS3 and While I owned the 360 quite a few times I can give a good comparison, first off not sure who told you the PS3 is known to be a better system, sorry that's not true at all, technology the 360 has the better graphics card and better technology then the PS3, so the only place the PS3 can win is in the Hardware department, like the system is better built and you can upgrade the HDD and use your flash drive, and that all it. Your just wrong about everything you wrote, if the Show was on the 360 it would play just fine, plus the Show's graphics would most likely look even better on the 360. Blu-ray means nothing when it comes to the show, It's not like the show is using all 25gb space on a blu-ray disk, not even close, the show would fit on a dvd no doubt.

I'm a only a PS3 and to bring you back to reality, at this point the 360 is the better console out right at this point. I'm not saying the PS3 can't pull closer, but technically the 360 is the better system.

Get your facts correct first my freind.

In other words, because you happen to own a PS3, you can afford to create a thread topic like this one...

So how exactly would it affect you if, as you stated, the The Show was ported over to the 360? You have a PS3; you can buy that (supposedly) superior version of the game. The lack of logic here is mind-boggling, sorry.

The 'which console is better' argument is entirely pointless to begin with.

Name one next-gen game that's been released where developers or gamers or reviewers have bemoaned the fact that it was released on one or the other system to the detriment of the game and gaming experience.

It's not a issue, plain and simple.
