Player Contracts

Just finished my first season and got to the resign player phase of my franchise. I started to mess around and found out that you can resign any player no matter what their current contract is.
For example, Ted Lilly was in year 1 of a 9 year contract making 9 mil a year. I resigned him for 2 years and 6 mil/year.

I resigned my whole team so their contracts lengths mirrored their real life contracts. At least year wise.

This is interesting to say the least. i would have never thought you could do that, now if they just allow us to do contracts and extentions during the season would be cool.

here is an interesting idea for chise... something along the same lines that mvp 05 did but better.

ok you have your daily and weekly player, league emails about whatever, whos hurt disgruntled etc etc etc. now throw in a email from an agent and or player that says... "hey this is the last year of my deal any way of getting this done before the year is up. id really like to stay here if i can... but id like to know before the season is over if i am o not"

im not fully awake and this is sounding so much better in my head lol...

but as always we all have things we would love to see added to this wonderful game to make it even better or at least fit our vision of perfection. we may never get all the things we all want into the game to make it our dream game but i think what is there now and what they have to build on and what ive seen in the teaser screen is freaking great and cant wait for more...

That would be awesome to have agent/player interactions like that.

I agree this is by far the best sports game out there and it will only continue to get better. I am very excited that they will give us better player options this year like extensions, waivers, 10/5 player veto's etc. basically taking the best from MVP 05 and ASB 05.
