Snow/weather would be cool

There has been a lot of snow flurries late/early in the last two seasons. It would be a cool effect to have that in the show 09

It would be nice but I would not just want it for ha ha's. I would want everything else associated with it, cold weather specific injuries, ball physics (whether it travels in the air or it takes a funny bounce because the ground is as hard as rock) Things of that nature.

Also, the proper clothing associated with the weather is a must. Nothing worse than it snowing and everyone is in their short sleeve shirts.

More injuries in cold weather would be good and also have games canceled due to snow but dont' just skip the game, let the game go into pre-game with the announcers and show the snow on the field and have them talk about the weather.

all iwant out of weather is teh ability to be able to have weather related delays, cancelations, reschuduled games on days off or as double headers etc etc. but also we have to factor in if there is a game that is delayed several hrs due to weather then the attendance would have to suffer as well for that game and be able to be seen in that manner after play resumes.

now a lot of you wouldnt want the "real life" representaion" of it as i would where you go to your schedule and go to play game and it starts out with a scene of the stadium with a tarp on the field and a few quick close up fews of the fans in rain gear and hudlled under umbrellas. then the commentators saying.. well as you can see there will be a little bit of a wait here to the start of our ball game today as we have some rain moving through the area (maybe even how mild or strong the stystem is that is moving thrrough)

then them saying we will bring you updates as they come in but take it back to your regularly scheduled programming until then.

then it would black out and come back with some sort of "rain delay clock" or somthing telling you how long it was.

now at this point one of two things would have to happen. either

1. you would see the grounds crew coming out and taking the tarp off the field and applying al lthe whatever that stuff is to the field to absorb all the water etc.

or ...

2. you would get another rain delay message... like... "well as you can clearly see it is sill coming down pretty good and their has been no word official or other wise whether we will get this game in just yet. once again we will keep you updated on things here at the park as they transpire... "

this of course for those of them that hate cut scenes adn want the game fast forwardd or whatever would be able to skip it...

but then once they did come back a third or whatever time it was... they could say again... either the rain has let up with all the above activity going on, on the field or they come back on to say that the game has been officaly called off and will be resheduled for a later date.

now this can or could happen during games as well.

they could announce before th game that their is a (fair, good, major) chance for rain in the next (however many hrs) and that the game could get delayed if it comes through etc etc...

come on guys if we are going to have weather in our games it has to be just like real life and affect everyithng just like in real life... you cant just have one thing and not the other... it has to be the complete package...

That wouldn't make a difference this time around. I'm fairly certain the sleeve situation is being taken care of for The Show 09. If all goes according to plan expect any player to where any type of sleeves at any time of the day/night.

As for weather, this is something they've been looking into for awhile.... at least from what I've heard. But it's one of those features they want to implement properly so its not just eye candy. It needs to effect gameplay & be able to change at any moment in the game.
Maybe we'll at least get rain in 09, but it'd be nice to have the cold weather as well.

Rain delays are definatly overdue to be in the game. They should be in this year! Even High Heat had rain falling during some games.
