Yeah, this is a big one for me. I have to give them credit for tuning the game amazingly well right out of the box. But in 08 it seemed like half of the sliders did little to nothing or didn't effect what they were suppose to. Hopefully they've had time to rework most of them & make sure they function properly for The Show 09.

As much as I love the graphics in this series, there is still something missing in them that you can tell in the images... something about the hues or saturation, I really don't know. Not saying it makes them worse, but it instantly differentiates them from "the other game."

Either way, this game will look phenomenal! I really want to see what they did to the models and stadium lighting.

Sony has great baseball minds working on The Show...I really feel confident that Kolbe and Chris at SCEA know what they are doing, and know what baseball should look like; as is evident with MLB 08....I really think MLB 09 will only improve upon a near perfect game from 08.....

You my friend have the right mind set. Theres no doubt that this San Diego Sony development team is among the best out there. Getting completely functional working sliders without causing other complications is no easy task. I'm sure this is something they can & will get accomplished... it just takes time.

Last years development cycle wasn't long enough for them to get alot implemented as flawlessly as possible. I know for a fact they'd rather leave something out than have it wrong.... which explains the absence of day/night transitions & weather in past versions. These are all features they are working towards & will hopefully show up sooner rather than later.
This is THE one sports development team that is actually striving for perfection.
