My gripes with MLB 08...

I liked the game but didn't love it.

It plays fine baseball. Just getting that out of the way.

Gripes:

The extemely long loading time.

The predictability of the CPU fielders making diving and lunging catches.

The un-predictability of the users throws going over the head of the 1B.

And I guess this one doesn't count towards SCEA or anything but the lack of an online community for the PS3. When I log on, I don't feel like I'm part of a community.

God I hate this!!!

This happen to me just the other day. CPU hit a little easy ground ball to the right side of second base and the throw to first was too high for the first basemen and the runner was safe

This happens way too often.

Lets hope this will be fixed in 09!

Just the opposite in the ps2 version...bad throws NEVER happen. I mean never!

I think Brinkman work 2k sports now. That would probably be put into their game. Meter for pitching and throws, I don't think they will go there.

Whats just as bad if not worse than the overthrows to first base,
The ammount of times youll dive for a ball and it goes off the tip of the glove!!!!!! god i hate that, if you dive for a ball especially in the outfield 90% of the time (thats not exadurating) it goes off the tip of the glove and diagnally behind you its the worst.

aren't the throws in the ps3 version variable, i mean the longer and harder i press the button to throw the harder the throw is, maybe try not pressing and holding down so long, at least thats what i do.

The meter for throwing has a mind of its own unfortunately. The different throw velocities do not match up to how much or little you fill the meter. I think the animations are determining the velocity of the throw more than the actual meter.
