My gripes with MLB 08...

even with out the throwing meter on it is still pressure sensitive stuff. ive had balls hit to third or short or second etc and i just pounced on the first base button and immediately IMMMMMMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDIATELY knew from the height of the ball that either a high throw or a way high over the head into the stands type throw... SOO it does happen with out the meter as well.

I think it's a timing thing if not pressure sensitive. If you press the button to throw to a base before your fielder gets into his animation, you can get rid of the ball more quickly. Once he starts his animation it seems you can't. I hate this because it leads to infield singles when it shouldn't.

Fielding is one of those areas that needs to be improved and a throwing meter would go a long way in making it a more immersive experience. It is still my favorite baseball game of all time though!

I had the shift on David Ortiz and he hit the ball right to the 2B who was playing in short RF ... the 2b lollygagged the throw and Ortiz beat it out ... TWICE!

The single biggest problem with the game is that the sliders dont work! They are as useless as tits on a bull! If they fix that for 09, that alone will make it a better game with the solid gameplay!
