Ok erich20012001 1st off the stadiums in any baseball game don't have the real addvertiesments and the real crowd noises that you see on tv and in person. 2nd most baseball videogames have the stadiums the wrong colors. Those are just a few reason why all baseball videogames don't have the look like the real life MLB stadiums have.

The Show will never have any real advertisement like your favorite MLB stadium. It is a third party title. I think 2Ksports have the rights to do that only. I plays with the Braves, live in Atlanta, work at the big hotel across from the Ted. The park looks on point, h@ll that even annouce the train station name how to get to the game. I also the crowd does the tomahawk chop at the apporiate time........

More detail is almost always a good thing, but The Show is light years ahead of say Madden 09 using the cheesy exterior shots with the same five cars driving by and downtown right behind every stadium. Something like that kills the experience before the user even gets into the stadium imo. Not that the interiors are that great either. The Show has ads from sponsers that you contract with in the game and tons of little details. I think the crowd is nicer too. They reach for foul balls and I believe this year attendance is suppose to change with the flow of the game and fans will leave their seats to walk to the restroom, etc.

I would like exterior shots, though. Some of the exteriors of stadia are nicer than the interiors.

In general, I'd say the textures could be a little softer, especially for night games. Notice the grass, outfield wall, and tops of the dugouts, for instance.

I agree with you here..I know its been mentioned before but day games look a lot better than night games IMO.

I agree with the stadium details. I think it adds to the personna of the the game. Like for instance in the st louis stadium. The show has a PS2ish background texture to it. Doesnt really capture the city behind it. Thats what I mean. In boston the trademark tower building thats lite up at might that has go sox in lights is awesome. I think mvp had this? You know, just cool lively backgrounds.

The Show is weird, graphically. If you zoom in on any number of individual sections of the stadiums, at any jersey texture or player face, they all look really high quality. Put it all together and just take it all in during regular gameplay, and they don't look that way. It does look somewhat like a PS2 game in the backgrounds of stadiums, as wookie48 pointed out, but it's not a big deal to me.

I care more about the on-field graphics, and I have no idea how to say this accurately...but it's like The Show needs more "polish" to their graphics. I prefer The Show's muted colors to 2K's over-saturation, but maybe SCEA can do something to give things a little more pop.

Aside from graphics, they need an upgrade on lighting. Just take a look at the jump EA made with NCAA and Madden form 08 to 09 purely in the lighting department, and tell me it wouldn't do wonders for The Show; or any sports game for that matter.

An upgrade to the lighting would help the look of the night games in my mind.
