franchise mode in PS3

I would like to know how realisitic is the franchise mode in the PS3 version compared to the PS2, as far as trades, free agent signings, player morale, etc. or is both version the same?

I didn't play the PS2 version much but I did find some of the trades I made on ps3 to highly benefit me. Meaning, I got a great player for a not-so-great player.
