60FPS looks good, but if they have to start removing features, commentary, and/or lowering the quality of player models (which need a ton of work anyway) to get to it, then I'd rather them keep things the way they are.

I've got Pro Yakyuu Spirits 5 ordered too. I prefer the MLB series, but Pro Yakyuu Spirits is better than 2K Sports' game right now imo.

I'd love to see the bump to 1080p. 60fps would just be icing on the cake.

Kolbe had said this past spring that the SCEA team was working on new player models and that he was really stoked to reveal them.. however it said recently (about a month ago) that he did not think they would make them into MLB 09 like originally planned...

hopefully they will be able to though... they still have time!

its kind of hard to explain..

its really just something you have to see...

my guess is that 1080p would make the game run very choppy, i just can't see it being a constant 60 fps, give me 720p 1080i and solid 60 fps and i'm happy, besides unless your playing on a 60" tv and sitting 6' from it you won't notice much if any difference.

There's actually an addition to the series which releases 12/4, it's called Pro Yakyuu Spirits 5:KanzenBen basically meaning Perfect Version.
There adding updated player stats, new pitching/batting animations, alternate unis, stadium updates, improved A.I and updated rosters.
It will cost you around 75 bucks though - ouch.
