I was hoping they would fix the issue where we have to sim spring training then back out to the menu to switch between minor and major league clubs. That was a pretty major bug imo.

That is not a bug.
Not the best design....but not a bug.
.....and the OP is talking about something else entirely....and there was never any talk of a patch to put in Sept. call ups as far I as know.
That would have meant pretty much entirely re-writing the code and that wasn't happening.
Hopefully true 40 man rosters(Sept. call-ups) are in this year.

Yeah, i never heard of a second patch myself either. Just try to play as is and wait until 09.

Then they made the decision to take it out of MLB 09 after it was in MLB 08 and in MLB 09 after the player gets into season mode? That was either one of the worst design decisions in history, or a giant bug. I still lean towards a giant bug.

I misunderstood you then.
You mean being able to view the AAA and AA rosters.
I thought you meant being able to use players from the AAA and AA rosters during spring training games(meaning you have to move them up to the MLB roster to play them).

No worries. I still have flash backs to putting MLB 08 into my PS3 and going to adjust the rosters. The moment that followed wasn't pretty.
