Hitting

Hey guys. I'm new around here. Have used the website a bunch but never the forums. But I have played the show the last 2 years and liked it a ton.

But if I had my way I wish it had the same hitting system as the EA college baseball games. I was an EA player until they lost couldn't make a MLB game anymore. But I got the first college game they made and loved it. Using the analog sticks to hit made the game much more realistic I thought.

I wish the guys that make The Show would take a hint and do the same thing. I mean don't get me wrong I love The Show as a game but I just think the hitting needs to be improved.

One question I have about the hitting is they tell you to use the right analog stick to control where you hit the ball but that is nearly impossible unless you hold the controller differently. If they had it as the left stick there wouldn't be any problems. I wish I could understand their reason behind this.

I too am a EA to SCEA convert. I loved the analog hitting but felt it was too HR happy. Of course with a few tweaks here and there it could be very enjoyable. I would gladly welcome back analog hitting to a fine baseball game in MLB the Show. Make it happen Capn'

Yeah. That is one of the thing I like about The Show. It's not homerun derby. The gameplay is so much more realistic in The Show.

I didn't know that the guys from SCEA read these boards. It's nice to know that they pay attention to what we as gamers want. I guess that is why they have such great games.

Yeah it is refreshing hearing from the producers every once in awhile. EA comes on here too. Mostly the Madden guys. They're really good at getting the fans views.

Yeah, idk if you saw but there's a thread started in the SCEA forum that has names to be added for the announcer's to say. And if quick enough, there's a chance your name will be in the game for next year. Now that's some pretty awesome Community involvement.

Yeah I just saw it. Last year was the first time any game had my name in it.

Yeah, I get on there a lot. Passes the time that I don't use to study. Haha.
