Re: Anyone still playing this game?

I have this for PSP and now that my 360 has bit the dust, this will be the only game I'll be playing for the next few weeks. I've got a Mets season going and am in Year 2 in RTTS playin 2B in the Mets farm system @ AAA. Really like this game for PSP and can see why you guys that have it on PS3 say it's such a great game.

It's really hard to play a baseball game when your team wins only 72 games.

Like my Sox () I'm still hangin' in there. I usually die out for awhile as football season starts and then ramp back up for the playoffs. The surge normally lasts through November and then I come back to it around late Jan/early Feb. I've been more regular with 08 though...it's really held me. Another thanks is due to Knight and Jim for their fine work on the rosters this year (my first year using them). They've really been a big part of why this game has been so great for me. Looking forward to 09, but am still enjoying 08

Thanks Sox...
That's one of the reasons I take the time to do the set......I find that if I'm using the fake minors....at some point I lose interest. To have the real minors and even more so using the edited MLB guys....makes a big difference as to how long a baseball game holds my interest.

Exactly. I like to actually get several years into my franchise (sim some/play some) to see guys develop. It's MUCH more rewarding when they are the guys you've been following in whatever organization you support or the big name prospects. That alone makes the work you and Jim have done so special. Add in the edits and some valuable suggestions from guys like Carew and you get an even deeper game. This community just makes a great game even greater

Okay, okay...now I'll put the violins away and get back to my game...lol. Happy gaming fella's!

Still playing every day.

Play a game or so a night in bed with the PSP version (season mode), and RttS mode for the PS3 version. Will play franchise over the winter before 09' hits!

Re: Anyone still playing this game?

Still playing my Yankee Franchise. On June 5th, about to open up a 4 game series with the Royals. Just took 2 out of 3 from the 1st place Blue Jays.

I had a play yesterday where A-Rod was going from first to third and the throw beat him, the 3rd baseman went into the tag animation, but did it too soon. He was picking up his glove as A-Rod slid in, and he was safe.

Another animation that kills me is on a grounder to first. I always take it to the bag myself, because if I throw it to the pitcher covering, it always takes too long, and the runner always beats it out.

Can i take that back?

2K9 is proving to be a major letdown for me, i think im going to fire up The Show again, see if i can get back into it, even if the season irl is about to end.
