Ha....no not close yet.
I just have those 6 teams done. I'm working on the '86 Red Sox right now(I brought the wrong file to work and then wrote over the Reds file ...but when I finish the Sox tonight, I'll post up the partially done set for you guys to fool with.

Can't wait for that post. I'm going to do a Roger Clemans vs Tom Seaver matchup once I get them.

Re: LEGENDS rosters and O.S. rosters

Okay....here is the BETABETABETA! version

Only those teams I've listed are complete.
I haven't even tested the Red Sox(I'll be playing the same game as you RazRr )...

ALERT....ALERT....... You MUST have CPU ROSTER CONTROL ON
....you can play these in season/franchise or exhibition...but with season and franchise without ROSTER CONTROL ON....it will destroy the integrity of the set.

All the lineups/rotations are set for the completed teams.
There are some "extra" players in the "minors"...just a couple...I will actually be adding to each team so that when released every team will have every player that played even one game on it ....it might just be the Sox/Phillies and Mets right now...

Have some fun until the next BETA release

Re: LEGENDS rosters and O.S. rosters

I don't know how RazRr's matchup turned out, but mine was the pitchers duel it was expected to be.

1973 Mets vs 1986 Red Sox ....Tom Seaver '73 Mets vs Roger Clemens '86 Red Sox
Fenway Park 1:10 start

With all the hype surrounding this pitchers matchup....it might have been easy for the game to fall short of expectations. After all, both squads have some excellent hitters and they were primed for the occasion.
But Seaver and Clemens were intent on sticking to the game plan.
For the first five innings both pitchers traded zeros and strikeouts with just a few singles sprinkled in to keep it interesting. Clemens walked one batter, Seaver none. In the top of the sixth Clemens retired Felix Millan and Rusty Staub and seemed to be ready to hang another goose egg. But with a 1-2 count John "The Hammer" Milner launched a Clemens fastball to dead center field with the ball landing far into the tarp and giving the Mets the 1-0 lead.
The Mets held the lead for one inning and then in the bottom of the seventh, after striking out Bill Buckner, Seaver gave up a single to Jim Rice, another to Don Baylor and then a walk to Dwight Evans to load the bases with one out. CF Tony Armas hit a groundball on the third base line and Met 3B Wayne Garret made a nice grab and after getting the 2nd out at second, Felix Millan's throw to first was a little high pulling Milner off the bag and Armas was able to reach safely. Boston C Rich Gedman struck out to end the inning.
The top of the eighth was a turning point as the Boston manager decided to hand the game over to his bullpen with Clemens throwing 118 pitches. Tim Lollar came in and promptly gave up back to back singles to Wayne Garret and Felix Millan. Due up to the plate was RF Rusty Staub and the Mets manager was on the verge of going for a pinch hitter to get a lefty/righty matchup instead of staying with the left handed hitting Staub against the lefty Lollar.
But Staub stepped into the box and on a 2-0 pitch hit a screamer into the gap scoring both Garret and Millan.
Boston then went to the pen and put right hander Calvin Schiraldi on the mound. He limited the damage to those two runs.
New York stayed with Seaver for the eighth and set them down 1-2-3.
Schiraldi stayed in for the New York ninth and after surrendering a lead off single, he calmed down and got out of the inning unscathed.
The Mets countered the bottom of the ninth with closer Tug McGraw who was to face left handed hitting Bill Buckner and righties Jim Rice and Don Baylor. Tug's screwball proved baffling to Buckner and Rice as both flyed out to LF. Don Baylor did manage to give the Mets a scare as he launched one into the LF corner WAY over the Monster...but just foul. He then went down on strikes to give the Mets a 3-1 win.

No problem....I'll be finishing the '90 Reds tonight.
I got a pretty good pace going. I figure a couple of weeks until I'm done.
