Why not the 1980 Philadelphia Phillies?

Why not?!...

'80 it is......Bake McBride...one of my favorite players during my youth in the '70's....Had his glove(not his....the "autograph" on the glove was his...)

Re: LEGENDS rosters and O.S. rosters

Just played my first test game.

'73 Mets vs. '32 Yankees.....Koosman vs. Gomez, so a battle of the lefties!

Both teams got men on 2nd and 3rd with no outs in the 2nd inning...but neither could push a run across.
I'll tell you one thing....the '32 Yanks are TOUGH to strike out.....Joe Sewell, Bill Dickey and Earle Combs struck out a COMBINED 32 times that year. Sewell struck out only 3 times(going to be impossible to recreate....I wish I could do complete years instead of teams from different years ).
In the third....Willie Mays singled home Bud Harrelson as the Mets took a 1-0 lead....but the Yanks couldn't be contained as they homered 5 times and won the game 8-3. Tony Lazzeri hit two...Frank Crosetti, Lou Gehrig and Babe Ruth homered once each as Jumbo Brown in relief(JUMBO is right!...6-4 300 pounds!) got the win.
Rusty Staub doubled in John(the Hammer) Milner and Duffy Dyer in the loss.
You guys are going to love the Legends Roster

Same here. Also to knight I like the 01 Marlins better too. Their more stacked in my opinion.

Re: LEGENDS rosters and O.S. rosters

How about either the 75, 86, or 2004 Red Sox . 86 would have Clemens in his prime. I would love to have Ted Williams, but he is the only one from the 46 team that most people know. If there was a all-timers team he would fit there nicely.

Thanks

i can't wait for this roster!

i still would have loved to play with an "all time royals" team..

but i'm wont be picky because i appriceate knight's work very much!

I vote for '86. Wade Boggs, Roger Clemens, Oil Can Boyd, Bill Buckner, Dwight Evans, Tom Seaver. That team is stacked. Is a 60's Dodgers team possible so that we could have Drysdale and Koufax?

Re: LEGENDS rosters and O.S. rosters

I just needed to add this. If you have the show 07 try Knights greatest teams rosters. I bought a used copy of the game just to play with his rosters.

They are that good !!!!
I am sure this will be awesome as well !!!

Thanks for all your hard work!!!
