Start the game and go to start a new franchise. Doesn't matter what team...
Just back out of the franchise and it will tell you the default roster will load or something of that nature....hit the box button and go back to the main screen.
Now move over to the ROSTER...ROSTER EDIT screen.
Click on the EDIT screen and you will come up on the ML screen of a team.
Use the right stick....left and right to go through the ML, AAA and AA teams.
This is the default roster and you can edit this one. When you save this after making changes...the new saved roster will be the one you LOAD.
Let me know...

I'm still not understanding this. PS3 version, I loaded the downloaded roster, started a new 1p franchise, backed out, went to the roster, edit player screen, and I can still only see ML rosters. I can't get to the minor league players. What am I doing wrong?

Load the roster after you do the workaround. Back out of the franchise THEN load your roster. Are you using the right stick and moving it?

You went all the way to the franchise team screen? Then backed out?

Re: FIXES AND WORK AROUNDS

I started a new 1p franchise. I went past the options and settings. I got to the area where it says "schedule". Do I need to go further?

If I back out, I can load the updated rosters and then edit the minors?

I tried the thumb stick, but had no luck.

PS3, correct?
This doesn't work for PS2

You don't have to load the rosters first. Just start a franchise.....pick any team...back out.
Now go load your roster(or start with the default if you just want to start editing..you'll save it later and it will become a new set)...use the right analog stick to go through the levels by going left and right. Use the "shoulder" buttons to move through the teams.

Yes PS3. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. It sounds like I'm doing the steps the right way. I'm surely doing something wrong though if its not working. Whenever I back out, the analog sticks don't do anything. All I get is the ML rosters.

You're not going back into a franchise....are you? This is to work on rosters outside of a franchise.
When you start a franchise...you cannot see your AAA and AA players until after spring training UNLESS you call them up to the ML.
Once ST is done...you can view all levels of the organization.

Re: FIXES AND WORK AROUNDS

Nope, I go straight to the rosters when I back out. Do I need to go further in the franchise than the spring training schedule?

Nope....don't even go that far....just start...pick a team...and back out.
Load your rosters(or start the default) and you should be able to see the different levels.
I'm perplexed....this has worked for everyone

Re: FIXES AND WORK AROUNDS

I just fired up the PS3 to try it again. Still no luck. I just don't understand whats going on? I started my franchise, picked my team, backed out, go to rosters, edit player, and all I see are ML rosters. I move the analog stick and nothing happens.

Damn!....I'm pissed and it's not even happening to me!
Do you have anything saved from The Show that you just cannot do without?
I would say try deleting the cache(from the Cross Media Bar...it's the info that gets copied to the drive the very first time you put the game in) and try re-loading that info and try it again. Maybe something didn't make it on the first copy?
Just a thought.
