I wish this would have been stickied.

But I'm glad I found it. Very useful.

How about the fix for preventing the AI's batting order to be jacked? Played the Yankees today in a 3 game set and in games 2 and 3, AROD was batting 9th and Jeter was batting 7th with Giambi leading off. LOL

Re: FIXES AND WORK AROUNDS

I've been meaning to check but everytime I have the game on I forget to for some reason. I'm wondering if a certain glitch has been fixed. In the past when you edited someone's stance, if you pinch hit that person with the edited stance they'd always have Generic 1.

Has this been fixed? Like I said I haven't checked but I hope it is because that's annoying.

Simple. Use two controllers to start your game. Set both lineups. When game starts put the other teams controller to CPU.

I thought only 2K baseball had this issue. What the heck?

I'd like to hear a little more about how he is playing the game. I have not seen this at all, but I also play with CPU ROSTER CONTROL ON.

I do know that if you make callups/senddowns it will screw up the rosters big time, but there is a workaround for this.

4.PLAYERS GETTING TOO FATIGUED TOO QUICKLY
....-This isn't a bug as much as a combo of poor design(no separate durability and injury attribute) and poor attribute input. If you got a player who simply tires too quickly...it's because his DURABILITY ATTRIBUTE(not a slider) is too low. Raise it and he'll be ready to play like you're paying him a million dollars(You're paying him much more than that!.....the slacker! )
I'm confused. I have found the durability slider, when I go to edit my players. But this attribute you speak of I can not find.

If you are editing your player...you found it....it's durability.
I call anything in the player editor and attribute...
anything outside the editor is an option or slider to me.

Has anyone actually had any success with this? I definitely haven't. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but here's what I've got so far...

First, I edited all of my players attributes so that their durability is maxed out. Then... I bought those greedy bastards a charter jet. And last but not least, I bought the team a new aerobic room because it says that it helps the players recover from fatigue faster.

Now that I'm ten games into my franchise none of this seems to matter. My starting catcher has already had two games off yet he is a about 20 percent energy. Infact, everyone is at 20 percent other than the center fielder and SS and 2B. And the only reason those guys aren't at 20% is because I gave them all a game or two off. Regular position players should not need a game off every five games just to stay at a half way decent energy level. Maybe the catcher.. but even the catcher shouldn't always get this many days off.

I've also noticed that the other teams are sitting their starters out just as much, if not more often than I am. I just played a 4 game series against the Rockies and Holliday only started the first two games. The third game he didn't come in at all... and the fourth game he only came in for a couple of innings because he was pinch hitter.

So does anyone have any other ideas or maybe know something I'm doing wrong. Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: FIXES AND WORK AROUNDS

First of all, thank you for the thread Knight, as well as your upkeeping of it. Extremely useful.

I must say, Kolbe and Chris, when you read this, the durability/rest thing is really the only major issue I have with this year's game. Just an amazing job on The Show '08. But it would be really nice if you could work a little magic so my position players don't need to rest every 5 games without me having to edit anything. [wink]
