Re: FIXES AND WORK AROUNDS

Holy Cow, my advice to anyone editing rosters at all is to save your work periodically. I was fixing some rotation stuff, and I had an invalid lineup on the MILB Bats. I could not back out, and had not done the fix and workaround thing, so I had to just quit and lose all my changes.

Isnt there an option to let the CPU optomise the lineup for you though? Im pretty sure when yo do that its only for the team you are currently on, not the entire MLB and then you can correct their lineup and not lose your previous work if thats the case.

....Heh....think how you would feel if you just finished editing an entire minor league system for a team.....GOT TO THE SAVE....and with the save bar half loaded......LOSING POWER FOR TWO FRIGGIN' SECONDS!
4 hours of work...down the drain...happened TWICE(not the same way)

Re: FIXES AND WORK AROUNDS

So with Jim's help I was able to work around the player movement/call-up send down issue.

Now if I were to institute injuries (playing with Roster Control ON) would this negatively affect all of the lineups if an injury were to occur?

Thanks

Re: FIXES AND WORK AROUNDS

I think this is a proper forum for this question...

Has anyone experienced this? There must be something I did, but everytime I finish a game, it doesn't replay the "play of the game" anymore. It always jumps immediately to the "Player of the Game". How do I re-enable this? I don't press any buttons after the very last out of the game, and I don't remember how it all started exactly but I believe it all began right after I finished playing an online game....

Re: FIXES AND WORK AROUNDS

Hey Knight, regarding not being able to edit AA and AAA teams---> I started a new franchise with your (awesome) roster set, and I made a couple of moves before the first game of Spring Training. Then when I went to play the first game of Spring Training, I got that message telling me that the AAA team has incomplete lineups...the problem is that there is nowhere to go to AAA to fix it...does this show up later (ie. after Spring Training)? I had to do the dreaded "Auto Fix" thing in order to pass that screen.

Sounds like you've got fast play on. Do you get any cutscenes during the game, and does the catcher throw the ball back to the pitcher?

Re: FIXES AND WORK AROUNDS

Here's a new one Knight found.

Quote:
It's a bit of a chore...and it's going to cost your franchise a couple of bucks(most teams have too much money anyway)...(UNLESS you are using CPU ROSTER CONTROL ON...then you can do it for each team I think...I'll check)

It seems as though when you start a franchise......the game puts some more EDITABLE fake players on the free agent list. So you can sign the lowest guys.....edit them to a real player...trade them to each club with a dev and viola!...no more fake devs on the teams!
Use his player card when he's on the FA list to see his potential rating!

Oh....and I also just found out you can also JUST RELEASE a player to the FA pool once you start a franchise.(for those two for three or one for three trades)

Hmm...I thought I've had Fast Play On before and the Play of the Game is still being shown...

I guess I can give it a try again...
