It works...I did it over the weekend. Before that...in my dual Franchises (Mets & Rays)..neither of myplayers, nor any in the league had injuries...and this was over a combined 25 games...

one I got out of the Franchise mode, went back in like I was trying the game out for the first time, get my sliders like I wanted, I set my injuries and the CPU's injuries to '5' (-5 from default)...saved it separately from the sliders I was using.

then I went in and uploaded my franchise...and loaded the NEW sliders

when I checked, the adjustents I made for the injuries held true.

in about 5 games since, Livan Hernandez had to leave in the 6th inning of a game I played against him with a hand injury. And someone else, whose name escapes me, also left with an injury.

Im starting to think that it doesnt work though considering the amount of times Ive tried it with no luck. If anyone has done this and actually seen injuries, let me know please.

There ya' go!
Thanks Rod...I wasn't able to get the time to test it myself.
Appreciate that

Rod - when these injuries occur with the computer players, does the CPU handle the substitutions/callups or is that something you are prompted to do?

the CPU automatically brought up Nick Blackburn from AAA. Livan was put on the 60 day DL (fractured hand). Of course, you can 'override' so to speak, the CPU selection via roster control, but I didn't because it was a good choice...although I was tempted to 'bring up' Humber instead...

and a correction:

only Livan is on the CPU DL....I had thought there were two players

Ok, cool. That's actually what I wanted to hear.

With computer roster control on, does the computer pick up free agents? And if so, is there any way to edit the free agents? I couldn't figure it out and I played this game with roster control OFF last year.

Thanks again

@ green94

I play with roster control on and all of the other stuff off....including trades....never liked the CPU trades in any game...so I take advantage of roster control and trade ONLY as is done in real life...I don't do the Vaddy on the Marlins, Pudge on the Yankees, Holliday on the D'Backs, Piazza back on the Mets, David Wright with the Dodgers, Josh Beckett on the Twins stuff...lmaoooooooooo

So you have to save them seperate of your normal sliders then, and load both once you get the franchise setup? Or will it still work and you only did that for testing purposes? I will try again when I get the chance this weekend and hopefully it works out like you stated.

With Roster Control on though those trades dont happen correct? I figure even if they did I could still return them to the way they were if a trade makes no sense.

Sorry if I am confusing, Im trying to get this roster control option figured out so when I start I dont find myself having to start over, thanks for all the help.

Another stupid question Im sure but are you seeing players from around the league getting injured in that setup or just players from the games you actually play? Im probably analyzing this far too much but I cant quite wrap my finger around it, obviously.
