Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I would love to see fans in the stands waving the rally towels and holding up signs saying things like Lets Go Phillies All that kind of stuff would be very cool.

I hope players will go into the dug outs now between innings.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

How about batting, pitching, and fielding practice? In batting practice, you could call for a pitch by clicking somewhere in the strike zone, which would make a baseball sized circle pop up in the location you clicked. You can expand the circles radius to any size up to covering the strike zone, and by clicking on the circle, you can choose pitch tipes, and range of speed and break. In fielding practice, you could choose the kind of hit, and maybe use a similer circle to set where the ball could land. For both batting and feilding, multiple circles could be created, or none at all, making it random. I have some more ideas I'll post later.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

To continue my last post, instead of picking a team, and doing spring training with them in rtts mode, here is a draft idea. Have your player first go to a (random, no circles) batting (or pitching) and fielding practice. All of the MLB teams would have there scouts there, and they would all give their teams scouting reports (of varying accuracy) on your performance, which would influence who would pick you and in what round of the draft. That would be a lot more realistic.

Here is another idea: interactive scouting reports. Obviously, make the scouting reports more realistic, with a 20 to 80 scale. However the main thing would be scouting videos. For example, if you click on speed for a batter, you would see various clips the scout took of your baserunning, with a box telling the time it took you to run. Your team will have a scout at most of the minor and major league, and the more the scout sees you, the more accurate a scouting report he will have of you. So if you start hitting better, your contact rating in the report will go up, and if you start throwing a faster fastball, your velocity rating in the report will go up. Also, the more the scout sees you, the scouting videos will become a better representation of your performance. Also, different scouts will take different clips, so there scouting reports may differ.

So basically, if your rtts pitcher pitches 4 games against his teams AA division rival, the division rivals organizations will have a better scouting report of you then the organizations of a team that you pitched once against. However, if you are about to play a big game against a team that you have not played against for a while, the organizations might send a scout that would have been at one of the organizations games to one of your starts, to have an updated report on you, so they can be better prepared.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Continuing my last post, I would like to see a draft day show, such as in head coach. The announcers could show some scouting videos of you, and comment on them after a team chooses you, and do the same with fictional players.

As others have said, there should be pre and post game shows, and a daily show showing the best plays in all of the games played that day. There should also be an option to save or record replay vaults from any game, played by any teams. Also, have an option to save and record the broadcast of any game. For example, if you pitched game 6 of the world series, and you really want to see game 7, you can record the broadcast. Saving the replay vault would not be as good, as you would not see the celebrations.

Finally, put more eye candy in the broadcasts. 2k8 has some cooler looking replay angles, and you should try to add some more stuff like they have, and stuff like pitch trax.

So those are my ideas!

- More differentiation in throws from fielders. If you hold the button down the longer, you throw a pea, if you just tap it, you throw a lob.

More bloop hits and balls that get to the wall.

Adding sliders that work will make the game better in itself! I also would like a slider that expands the umpires tendancy to call a bigger or smaller strike zone! Other than that I probably want most of the things that have already been mentioned on here! Weather effects with rain delays, progressive lighting, expanded RTTS (ex) catchers calling pitches and Playstation Eye compatable, WBC and HR derby and maybe spring training minigames, uniform selections for chise, some more uniform customizations, retractable roofs in parks like Skydome & Safeco, Views of the ballparks from a blimp, HR cam.

Not sure if anyone suggested this but I would like to see the ability to transfer the saved game to the PSP (and back) so we can play on the road, toilet.. wherever.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I am glad to see that the fans can now pick the baseballs up from the field.

But I also hope there will be Ball boys and Ball girls that can also pick up baseballs. And I also hope the first and third base coaches can now pick up foul balls that are hit to them.

Also l I hope all the players can now go into the dug outs between innings.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I really think the main reason why a lot of us here feel the fielding needs to be improved has to do with the fielders pre animations.

1 Example I was playing last night and the CPU had a runner on third and the batter hit a very slow ground ball to the pitcher. The man on third came home and i tried to throw him out at the plate but he was safe because the pitcher took extra long to throw the ball because of the pre animation stuff.

This some how needs to be changed so all the fielders can get rid of the ball a lot faster. This slowness is causing a lot of base runners to be safe when they should be out!

And as said by others here fielders throw too high to the first basemen way too much!

I hope my info helps you guys at Sony make the greatest baseball game even better!
