Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

My wish list is simple. Number 1 is essential and the rest I would just like to see.

1) Uniform Selection in Season/Franchise (I love this game but if this isn't done I will be very disappointed no matter what else they do.)

2) I would like a new Season mode that gives you MLB, AAA and AA (singe A if they so choose) and if they want to be generous let you hire your manager, pitching coach, etc. Basically all baseball/GM options from the franchise without having to worry about all the VP/non baseball stuff. (Transportation, etc.)

3) 40 man rosters for ST and Sept. (No explanation needed)

4) Better contract options. This includes real contracts, waivers, rule 5, arbitration, not being able to trade signed free agents until June, signing extensions in season, etc.

5a) Arguing calls. Allow us to choose not just randomly have a player argue a call at first. This really is a big part of baseball and should be added! Basically just rip off MVP 05. Press a button to argue. The more you press it the better chance you get tossed.

5b) Suspensions. It would awesome if you did go nuts arguing and got tossed if they incorporated in a suspension. You get to set your line ups but once the game starts you are done. CPU does all pitching changes and pinch hitting.

6) Bullpen and bench players. Show the players and coaches on the benches. There should be at least the manager, pitching coach, hitting coach, bench coach and all starting pitchers and bench players.

That's it for now. I'm sure I will have others later.

best post of the thread.

and add:

Rain delays (with tarp being rolled out)

additional cosmetic options to RTS (including eye black)

ability to edit RTS players (including uniform numbers)

improve dynamics of camera during actual gameplay & replays (note: in the 06 and 07 editions, the 3D elements of the stadium were 'showed off' better by the camera, as in the towering fly foul balls behind home plate and on HR's)

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

i know its WAY too late, and its also been covered in various ways...but after watching the postseason, I need to wish and hope that its either been done or that SCEA will listen and make some changes to the way the playoffs are presented.

It is simply a different game come October. Everything is louder, more intense, each play critical. I want to feel this when playing. Not to mention I want to feel rewarded for getting there. Aside from them mentioning the playoffs from time to time, everything else feels like a regular season game....so some suggestions:

Cold weather: Maybe see the players breath, fans bundled up, cold weather gear options.

Bunting and banners: At least, please add something to the stadiums. Bunting around the walls, maybe the logos painted on the grass.

Presentation: Change it up a bit. Add the playoff logos to the replay screen that fades in and out, maybe send it to a sideline voice for info from the dugouts, make a bigger deal with the commentary.

Fans: Special crowd shots in playoff games, tense fans, celebrating, disappointed, maybe coming into the stadium completely pumped up and decked out in team colors! Absolutely INSANELY loud crowds, waving towels (in certain stadiums) chants, waves, everything. Make them really come alive in the playoffs. I want to barely be able to hear the commentary when I have 2 strikes and 2 outs in the top of the ninth at home with a one run lead in game 7! They should be standing and yelling at the top of their lungs!

Celebration: Make this go on forever. We can always hit the x button! I want to see a lot of jumping around, player award presentations, fan shots, depressed losing team shots, replays, replays from the whole series, commentary, more player celebration shots! Blow this up! We played 162 to get here!

I am sure there are more....but this is what came to mind!

Yeah, great post. Separate playoff atmosphere from a regular season game is a must.

Also, it would be great to see regular season atmosphere....for example, when the Cubs come to Milwaukee there seems to be as many Cubs fans as Brewers fans....make this noticeable....big rivalry games should yield more excitement in the stadium....

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Just to relist what was said above:

"I would like a new Season mode that gives you MLB, AAA and AA (singe A if they so choose) and if they want to be generous let you hire your manager, pitching coach, etc. Basically all baseball/GM options from the franchise without having to worry about all the VP/non baseball stuff. These should be in, I like the idea of all of the GM stuff but not the transportation, food prices, etc. Its fun for a bit but then it drags on.

And the contracts options are a must (or should be). 5 and 10 rights for no tade clauses etc. Similar to NBA 2K which now has bird rights.
