Rip off the Right Stick throwing in 2k8...other than that just keep adding depth.

09 will no doubt be in the planning stages....my two cents is:

The ability to watch AI v AI games from any sides schedule in Season/Franchise...in addition to Sportscast - give the user the option....Kolbe is aware of this and is hopefully going to try and get this into the 09 version.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Most wanted -

Not too many changes. Extra content, roster changes and more bug testing to basically make 09 a more solid version of the 08 game. It's only slightly broken, so don't fix much. Reviews might not like that much - they never do - but fans of the game should be happy. (Experimental optional new analogue controls, okay, but not by default... unless they're really, really, really good.)

Shorter load times on the PSP version of the game. Please, please, somehow please. Loading for over a minute just to take a swing at the ball as a pinch hitter in the ninth, then another minute after that to get back to the main menu is a killer.

Being able to save in the middle exhibition games.

Being able to transfer RttS games between PS3 and PSP. I'd love to play my RttS on the PS3 when I could, then take it over to the PSP to continue playing. I'm sure it would be a big technical challenge, but there's a whole year, right?

Semi-realistic wants -

Free MLB-themed outfits and furnishings for your Home avatar/homespace included on the game disc.

Changing weather during a game. (Be nice in PSP version, but realistically I'd expect this on the PS3 only.)

A blatant rip-off of 2K8's card collecting stuff. I love unlocking and collecting things in games.

Genuine minor league stadiums.

Classic stadiums and teams. Having just read a book about Jackie Robinson's first season it would be nice to have a game or two with the Brooklyn Dodgers.

Thing probably of interest only to me -

Having "Allaway" as a name that the commentators can say in RttS mode. Of course, I maybe the only person with that surname playing the game, so I doubt that change would be high priority.

So far all i can see are

1. fans haning out on all grassy knolls during games in spring training, on blankets kids in strollers. have you guys not watched any st games and seen cut scenes.

2. sunglasses, flip downs etc. heck even have it to where random players arent wearing them and after missing a ball have to come in and get them from the dugout.

there will be much more i will be seing once st is over adn we are into teh seson but that is all for now

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I would love to have the option in RTTS to not simulate to my next appearance. Just because I donīt want to know that or how Iīm involved in the next at bat (on defense). On offense I would be fine if it stays where it is.

Anything you mentioned so far AND...

- dynamic weather (rain delays/outs)

- sports center (a TV show which shows highlights of the day) and web-gems. I think it was the coolest thing on 2k's Football games.

- better Franchise mode (real salaries, better cpu roster-managment)

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

1. All team mascots in real time during the games!

2. Fading white lines on the field as the game goes on.

3. Ball boys and Ball girls sitting on chairs and chasing after foul balls.

4. Clouds moving in the sky.

5. Catcher throws mask on pop ups.

6. Should be able to see every player run around all the bases after Home Runs. " I love watching the whole flight of the ball during Home Runs!"

7. Fans and vender's walking up and down the steps.

8. Would like to see Choppers, Blimps, Planes and birds flying by at random times.

9. Watching fans coming into the parks before the game starts. Maybe during the loading screen?

10. Pitchers for both teams sitting in the bull pens and also warming up. "Both Teams"

11. National anthem at the start of every game.

12. Rosen bag and cleat cleaner on pitchers mound in real time for every ball park. "they are missing in 08" "They do show up at random times"

13. Rain tarp in every ball park. " some parks in 08 are missing the tarp"

14. Fans waving the rally towels in the Play Offs and World Series.

15. Players coming out for curtain calls.

16. Changing sky from Day to night and night to day! " Use the PS3 built in clock"

17. Sports Center like TV show.

18. Replays from other games in season mode.

19. Better player models.

20. Weather! " Cold games in Chicago early in the season " Rainy games"

21. Allow to use own music for batter walk ups.

22. BATTING PRACTICE with your PS3 music playing out of the parks speakers. " And players warming up and having a catch during BATTING PRACTICE" " Also fans trying to catch BATTING PRACTICE balls.

23. Sunglasses, flip downs

24. All-Star Break with all events. "Futures Game, Home Run Derby, ASG and players wearing their own team uniforms.

25. Pitchers putting on jackets when getting on base in chilly games.

26. IN GAME SPORTS TICKER during season mode! " Would give scoring updates from around the league"

27. Classic stadiums and teams from many many years!

28. A lot more camera angles!! "Blimp View would be cool!"

29. Try and FIX all stat bugs and glitches from MLB The Show 08!!!

30. Fans holding up signs that say things like "Go Phillies"

There you have it my dream for MLB The Show 09!!!!!

I am guessing we will not have all these things in the show maybe until MLB The Show 2012 or something!

Or maybe even not until MLB The Show on Playstation 4.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I definitely want to see:
  • Classic stadiums (Not just one or two, I would love about 10 or so and the ability to use them in franchise)
  • Home Run Derby (but different modes for this. Have it so you can choose to play like they do now in real life, or like they used to do in the old tv show Home Run Derby. I loved this about 2k3 because I could emulate the tv show and it was awesome). Maybe an All Star Gala Weekend during the season.
  • Weather effects with rain delays and cancellations; double headers
  • OF and IF speed and throw sliders that work
  • More stadium specific chants and fireworks and home run celebrations
  • Ability to choose jersey's for both teams in Franshise and Season (maybe an option for auto-select or manual select for people that like to be surprised)
  • Beach Ball slider
  • Dynamic Lighting
  • September call ups and expansion to 40 man roster
  • More ST stadiums and Minor league stadiums (real ones if possible)
  • Even better player models
  • More sig stances and pitching deliveries
  • Better home run camera angles
I think that list is plausible and if those things made it in the game, with fixes for whatever bugs they can't fix through a patch this year, and maybe a continuation of a graphical upgrade, I don't see how the game could get any better. It would be everything I have ever looked for in a baseball game.

My Big 3 Wishes that I think would vastly improve The Show (and also help create tons more "Mass Appeal"):
  • Co-op Play for multiple people to play on the same team as teammates at different selected positions. Each person should be able to choose (by fielding position) as many or as few players as they want to control for the game, and then also bat for those same players (online would be amazing, but even if it's just available off-line at first, this would be awesome). The teammates idea has been done before and the camaraderie aspect was incredibly fun (look at the popularity of Rock Band, and other games where people play together towards a common goal).
    -----
  • The ability to save your created players separately without them having to be tied to a specific roster. Then we should be able to import them into any roster we download without having to create them all over again each time we want to use an updated roster set. If CAPs could be saved individually and used as we wish, this would introduce a slew of possibilities. We could also trade them amongst each other to try out each other's CAPs and rate them, just like we currently are able to do with each other's gameplay sliders (perhaps this would appeal more to the core audience than the masses, but if you're a talented CAP creator, this could make you famous, while also spreading joy to others ).
If these things were in, it would take The Show to a whole other stratosphere for me.

great stuff.
I remember playing an old konami baseball game with my friends on the N64 a lot. we played 2 on 2. one guy chose to pitch, and we'd split up who gets to bat who b4 the game starts. if i remember correctly, i think we chose between INers/OFers for def.

option to use RTTS guy in franchise or games.

maybe an option to control TWO guys in RTTS, cause just batting or pitching gets boring after a while.

i guess i should give up asking for stuff on the PS2, like having created guys not being called by just #s. oh well, t'm just thankful they update this game for us cheapos.
