Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

More stuff from them about the timeline for whishlist ideas

After about April/May many of the new ideas were covered by previous suggestions, but we always welcome feedback in the long term. In most cases we have a deadline to plan most of the big changes. I coordinated some of the feedback back then, but I have to work on core gameplay since my role is a programmer.

Thanks!

We NOW have next gen systems so how about making guys go INTO the dugout instead of walking to it.... and thats it after the inning is done!!!

If they have problems reproducing that a good idea would be to throw some cut scenes in there showing the guys walking down the steps between innings and even coming up the steps to take the field.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Better offseason simulation and trades would be top of my list. I think a "Commissioner" type setting to avoid unrealistic trades would be helpful since everything would go through the user. Also, when guys like Jose Reyes and Hunter Pence go unsigned during free agency, it leaves a sour taste in the players mouth.

Also, if the IF'ers and OF'ers were more alert on throws and didn't play like Manny.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

After reading all the posts ...it would be hard to imagine anything that hasn't been mentioned. Prior to this "season" I had always played my baseball on the PS2...last year I bought an EyeToy after reading about being able to capture a facsimile of your own face on Created players. It was a fun "toy"...it took many attempts to actually figure out all the proper lighting and focus needs etc etc to eventually develop a face that was recognizable as your own...this all being said...IF the future games had this or a similar type of option, it might be interesting. I would think, with the far superior tech that is involved and the processor capability, capturing and being able to use a face photo would not be difficult. Speaking for myself...or perhaps speaking for my vanity...it would be cool to have your own face on "your" player. This would also give the abilty on created players to expand the sunglasses, eye glasses, eye black and hair etc etc. Thanks!

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

I think someone mentioned it but dynamic lighting would go a long way to making the game feel more realistic. Starting night games at dusk with the sun going down would be so much better than starting in pitch black like it is now. Also, more realistic shadows like at Miller Park, Fenway during the day, etc.

Most importantly: Can some next-gen sports franchise (besides NBA 2k) have a professional looking TV-style presentation? This has been long overdue...

Co-Sign...RTTS is the only mode I've played so far (this is my first year w/ The Show), and I have a hard time judging whats a hit or an out when I'm running the bases.

The other thing I would trully appreciate seeing added to this game(at least in RTTS) is the ability to at least alter lineup and rotation orders, along with positions. I posted something about this on the RTTS thread this morning. My examples of WHY are on that thread.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Fix the problem of the players wearing longsleeves at night, and put all the coaches into on categorie so you can sign them for what ever you want

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

One thing I'd really like to see... stats stats stats.

Let us see the box scores for each game, viewable even after the game is completed. I'm a complete sucker for that stuff . And it might be quite useful for people that don't play every game and simulate once in a while like me to know how the batting order was set up, what pitchers were used, etc from the simulated game.

And umm... realistic trades, budgets, and signings please? Right now trades are all based on if the rosters have enough space and if the players involved from both sides match up their salaries. If a team is struggling when approaching July 31st, make them think about deals offering up several "A" potential prospects for a top major league player. And signings are ridiculous, every team seems to be able to pony up $10M+ per to 2-3 guys every offseason.

And please, bring back franchise mode. I really liked the fact from previous MLBs ('05 and before?) that you can run your team and upgrade the stadium, watch how you spend your dough, adjust ticket prices to maximize profit, install concessions and stuff like that. Only make it better of course... more customizable options?

Corrupt.....
You can see the boxscores from every game this year...you can go back to Game 1 after you complete the season if you like. Just go to the date...hit X and it gives you the option to view boxscore.
....and I'm not sure what you mean...but they do have franchise mode. You can update the stadium...add vendors and such. Setting prices is not there(I think)...but any other additions would be great!
