Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Great list. Here is my two cents.

1.The ability to choose between a closed or open roof in stadiums that have retractable roofs. (the most important to me)

2. Catchers should wear their shin-guards on deck when there are two outs.

3. Get all the jerseys colors right. Instead of using an old catalog, talk to the clubhouse manager or something.

AH HA!

No one mentioned catchers tossing their masks when going after foul balls!

Also, the bullpen sports bar, fundemental & fan decks need to be populated at US Cellular.

Fans are in those areas during the games!

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

My Big 3 Wishes that I think would vastly improve The Show (and also help create tons more "Mass Appeal"):
  • Co-op Play for multiple people to play on the same team as teammates at different selected positions. Each person should be able to choose (by fielding position) as many or as few players as they want to control for the game, and then also bat for those same players (online would be amazing, but even if it's just available off-line at first, this would be awesome). The teammates idea has been done before and the camaraderie aspect was incredibly fun (look at the popularity of Rock Band, and other games where people play together towards a common goal).
    -----
  • For the love of all that is holy, BRING THE HR DERBY TO THE PS3. This way casual gamers will be more apt to give this fantastic game a try without being intimidated by learning all the controls and knowing all the rules of baseball. Once they get hooked on HR Derby, many will be begging to learn how to play the full game (casual gaming is extremely popular these days, HR Derby and other casual mini-games would draw lots of newcomers in).
    -----
  • The ability to save your created players separately without them having to be tied to a specific roster. Then we should be able to import them into any roster we download without having to create them all over again each time we want to use an updated roster set. If CAPs could be saved individually and used as we wish, this would introduce a slew of possibilities. We could also trade them amongst each other to try out each other's CAPs and rate them, just like we currently are able to do with each other's gameplay sliders (perhaps this would appeal more to the core audience than the masses, but if you're a talented CAP creator, this could make you famous, while also spreading joy to others ).

If these things were in, it would take The Show to a whole other stratosphere for me.

This is an excellent idea. Also, on a similar note, I think adding the ability to save player edits such as accessories and batting stance changes, and then being able to apply those to any roster would be a great addition.

The ability to "scout" players for the draft by watching "draft videos" of them. This means you will need to find mechanical flaws and evaluate their future potential based on your own eyes, like in real life.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

IN GAME SPORTS TICKER!!...related to the USER franchise of course. Scores..stats and league news on it(trades...injuries ...etc.)

Ability to create custom leagues....
Example.....2 leagues...1 division.....6 teams per league....---2 leagues....2 divisions........4 teams per division...etc.
Let us name the leagues and divisions...
Let us edit team names, cities and nicknames.

Ability to edit coaches and manager info.
Give managers and coaches attributes that we can edit...as well as tendencies that are editable.

I think you guys covered the 40 man rosters....Sept call ups ....waiver wire...options....Rule V...

Injuries....let guys get dinged up...and still play...give us info on how he is limited because of the injury. Also show his injury in his actions if it's apparent. For instance if Carlos Beltran has a sprained knee and is at 85%...but I use him as a pinch hitter because he says he can play.....have him limp up to the plate....(little thing...but it would be rather cool to see)

More in-game injuries(they are SO rare)

Break into my game with a highlight of another game.Have a different studio announcer talk on the highlight... Maybe a milestone...maybe just a homer....this would be BIG towards immersion IMO.

M.K.
