RTTS:

I'd like to see a popup window displayed when I'm running the bases so I can see what is going on with the ball and fielder

1. More signature styles (both pitchers and hitters)
2. Outfield view when pitching for online play.
3. Ability to switch hitting views to either offset or wide view for online play.
4. Ability to tweak sliders for online play.

Without the online tweaks I find the online play unplayable. I played 3 online games and never touched it again. Otherwise it's the best single player baseball game I've ever played, by a longshot. I prefered MLB 2K7 and MVP for online play.

I'd like to have the option for the player to approve/disapprove trades that CPU teams make during franchise mode. I have to scratch my head sometimes when I see players like Lance Berkman get traded for virtually nothing.

MAKE THE GAME MORE FUN NOT JUST CATCHING AND BATTING MORE EXCITEMENT IN THE GAME.. AFTER A WHILE I GET BORED OF THE GAME IT NEEDS EXCITEMENT AND WEATHER TO BE REAL LIKE RAIN AND MORE HITS AND DOUBLES , BLOOPERS OMG NEW HITS.In EVERY GAME I PLAY I HIT THE BALL STRAIGHT AT THE PITCHER LIKE 4 TIMES .

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Adrian Beltre does this weird thing where he points down to 1B whenever he checks his swing, as if that has any control on the umpire checking with the first base ump. It's pretty silly for a lot of reasons and a bizarre idiosyncrasy by Beltre.

But I think it would be cool if you put it in the game. So yeah.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

  • I really don't know the answer to this, so it's probably at least 2 or 3 years away. Is there any way to "self motion-capture" with the Sixaxis so that we could capture our own swings and attach them to our created RTTS player?
  • Also, what about more dynamic announcing? Like the announcers discussing general more general topics when a player comes to the plate? For instance, if Omar Vizquel comes to the plate, we would hear something like this:
Vasgersian: Now you have to think that Vizquel is a sure-fire HOFer.

Campbell: Are you insane? He's a good, not great, defensive SS and an average hitter for his position. If he gets in the Hall should just start admitting anyone with more than 6 years service time.

Vasgersian: Oh, I couldn't disagree more. He played on some of the great teams of the 90's, he has been a durable player, and he's gritty/tough/a gamer.

Campbell: Vasgersian, your views on baseball are setting the game back 20 years.

etc.

That example is a little tongue in cheek, but these main point stands.
  • Also, I would put even more player-to-player interaction on the field. That's one of the most fresh aspects of 08. Seeing opposing players joking with each other or getting mad at each other or whatever is pretty cool and replicates really major league baseball very well. I would go one step further and include real personalities. For instance, Sean Casey and Orlando Cabrera/Hudson should be constantly yakking it up during the game with opposing players, while A.J. Pierogi is pissing people on the other team off.
  • Also, I would try to make the benches and bullpens more active. Have people milling around, getting water, talking to each other, etc.
  • Ball girls and ball boys are a must. Fair and foul territory look empty without them.
  • Customized walk-up musics which we can choose.
  • More variation of defensive styles and plays. I don't mean to bring up Adrian Beltre in two consecutive posts, but he has a very unique style at 3B which should be captured in its own right. A lot of players have their own unique features which should be accounted for in the game.
  • Less throwing errors, or at least make them within the player's control.
  • The hitting and pitching interface are perfect or near-perfect as far as I'm concerned. No need to toggle too much with those.
  • That's about it. Just remember, baseball is a game about personalities. Personalities, personalities, personalities.
