Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Would love a set of oldtime parks like MVP has (Ebbets, Polo Grounds, old Yankee Stadium, Memorial Field, etc). Since we can edit rosters to oldtime teams, seeing them play in their real oldtime parks would be awesome.

Something that I thought of while watching the Yanks/Mets yesterday, I don't believe it's in 08 and I don't think it's been in any baseball game for years...

The ability to move the pitcher from side-to-side of the rubber before each pitch.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

My 09' wish is to have a big first name database full of first names and nicknames...

Announcing both first and last names would be a nice touch! If we can't find a first name from the list, I hope SCEA still
announces the last name...

I want to hear the first and last names announced by the PA announcer, plus after the game, it would be cool to hear Matt refer to the "Player of the Game" by his first and last name, weather or not he is a real or edited player...

Please continue with your "Face Manipulation Tool" I have been burning the midnight oil creating the best players and legends from each franchise, if SCEA offerers the same face tool in 09'
all I would need to do is copy each players formula onto a disk to line up a quick visual copy...

Scooter...

I know Triple Play '98 had it on PSOne, and I think most older games did as well. It is a nice little feature.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

First, please don't tinker too much with the gameplay or controls. They are great as is, IMO.

The most important change that HAS to be made is the weather. Progressive lighting. Rain. Field getting worn as the game progresses. Rain delays/outs etc...no excuse not to have this with the next gen systems. This has been mentioned several times so I won't go into it any further.

A couple of minor things:

1) The stadiums are too full. Obviously contending teams should have full stadiums. Wrigley, Fenway, Yankee Stadium, Busch...they should be near capacity in every game as well. But, it looks odd playing a last place Nats team in Washington in front of a full house. I don't think you could just do this without regards to how the team is doing though. For example, the Rays are starting to draw decent crowds this year, and the Marlins had some good sized crowds when they were winning championships.

2) In the replay option, I would LOVE to see a camera angle that shows the typical tv shot. I think the angle is in the game as the "outfield" view. To be able to use this would really help things, IMO.

Overall, you guys did a great job with this game and I thank you.

I don't see full attendance in my games, and I'm playing with the Phils. A lot of the upper decks will be very scattered.

Hmm, I'm only a month into my Cubs franchise, but I recently finished a series with Washington, and the place was 90% full in all 3 games. Maybe it tapers off as the season goes along.

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

My biggest gripe is player edit options/Signature Styles. Here is my list of what needs to be added:

1. Better batting stances.
2. Have different sleeve options depending on weather conditions (not time of day).
3. Have ability to add glasses AND sun glasses (sun glasses only during sunny day games, glasses always on.)
4. Add different sleeve options. Long sleeves, 3/4 sleeves below elbow, 1/2 sleeves above elbow. These should be seperate from an elbow wrap (see ARod who has white elbow wrap but still has 1/2 sleeve dangling above it.)
5. Ability to edit colors on all batting gloves, shoes, fielding gloves, wrist bands, sleeves, bands, glasses, sunglasses, etc.
6. Different options for clothes size. Shirts/pants should have tight, normal, baggy, supper baggy option. As well as short, normal, long options.
7. Ability to edit player's HR swing. Jeter should never flip his bat even when he crushes it. Either get every single person down right or have the obvious ones in the game then have a variety of generic mild celebrations - very cocky celebrations that can be edited.
8. Have different hat options. CC Sabathia wears a low profil hat, titled to the side. Joba has a very flat bill of the cap. Jeter curves bill a little and has a high profile hat, etc. Everyone is different. We should have ability to choose how bill of the hat looks, how the top of the hat looks, and if the hat will be slanted or straight.
9. Have players use batting gloves when running bases if they really do in real life. Also have them use hand protectors on bases. All batters currently automatically have no gloves on base paths even if they just got to the base!

Misc.

1. Swing stick.
2. Analog fielding.
3. Analog pitching.
4. Dynamic weather/time. Day should progress during game. If a game starts at 1:00 PM it should be over by like 4:00 meaning sky shouldnt be 100% sunny. Shadows should creep in, etc.
