Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Here are some more suggestions:

Problem: Showing Ratings Instead of (or without) Statistics. In the bullpen you can't view the stats of a pitcher unless you first have them warming up. If stats aren't really a predictor of how a guy will do (which I don't buy), then why show them when he's warming up?

Solution: Show the stats of each pitcher from the lineup, along with the ratings. Better yet, have some sort of biorhythm -- remember that from years ago, folks? -- that shows which pitches have been more effective lately.

Problem: Homerun cutscenes incomplete without viewing replay

Solution: Why does the camera angle have to be changed at all when there is a homerun? Why not just allow the crowd and player reactions tell you whether a drive has a chance or not? That would be way more exciting.

Problem: Way too many homeruns are "just" over the fence

Solution: I've yet to see an upper deck shot, or even one that was WAY BACK there. There should be more variation on the homeruns, variation in height, distance and flightpath of the ball.

Problem: Visits to the mound are too static. You simply chose mound visit from the menu, and poof! Your players are gathering on the mound.

Solution: This should be an emotional event, where obivously the pitcher is rattled or worn down, or the team is confused and need to get together to get on the same page. It would be really cool to hear boo's as the manager or pitching coach makes his way out to the mound.

Problem: Way too many hit batters don't result in a brawl. It's kind of boring to hit batters with only a slight chance of being ejected.

Solution: Why not make it so that, depending on the situation (tight game or hitter has had a great game), the hitter loses his temper after being hit, and a fight ensues?

Re: The Extremely Early Wish List Thread

Just a couple of things I would like to see specific to the Chicago White Sox :

1983 Throwbacks, this is a must!

Please, please include the original Comiskey Park. I think this addition is way, way overdue.

Another thing to add is the exploding scoreboard after home runs & home wins. You guys pretty much nailed the cut scene cept for a couple things. The easy one is fireworks, the others are the lights on the edge & pinwheels on the scoreboard. ( by the way the pinwheels don't actually turn the lights on them flicker in a circular motion ).

Another big change was they finally painted the out of town scoreboard from that crappy blue to match the rest of the dark grey metal framework in the outfield.

One other minor detail that would add some killer realism is to alter the scoreboard during at bats. Usually there is a full image of the player on the jumbotron, while his name and stats are displayed on the ribbon board just above the hitters eye in center.

Aside from this stuff I mentioned, you guys pretty much nailed the Cell. Again, thanks for taking the time to allow us to voice stuff like this, it's very cool!

Yes, absolutely. PLEASE include previous MLB parks. The last thing we'd want is for SCEA to become scEA

Exactly! This has to be fixed before any other thing. The ball gets hit to the outfield and the camera follows you the runner instead of the ball. It's nearly impossible to tell if a line drive will be caught if it's hit to right field. The game shows the runner running around the bases in the upper right corner. That's good enough to know where he is on the basepaths.

Also, when you are on base there needs to be something showing the balls and strikes and outs on the screen without pausing the game. Maybe it's because I play the PS2 version of the game, but there are some basic things that are clearly lacking that shouldnt be hard fixes.

And I am all for being able to pick the uniforms before each game no matter what mode you are in (exhibition, franchise, or RTTS). Despite how god awful ugly they are, I just love those nasty yellow Oakland A's uniforms from the late-1960s.

One more thing...in RTTS you need to be able to edit your uniform number, sleeves, pants, facial hair, etc. more than just at the start of your career. Non-game performance options should be allowed to be edited at any time.

I would like to second this idea (or third it or fourth it). Attending some games at Old Comiskey Park is what made me a White Sox fan so it would be great to see it brought back to life. It seems like it is never included with past stadiums in any video game.

More throwback jerseys. Also having the choice to be able to select our jerseys in franchise mode. And no more mandatory long sleeves at night
