Re: **MLB 08: The Show (All versions) Bugs/Glitches Thread**

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I think this has happened to me a couple of times.

What happens is that the game stops right at the end of the game where the injury occurs and won't advance to the next day as it normally would. It doesn't show a score in the game that you just completed.

INSTEAD of backing out, select the next game in your schedule and choose to PLAY it. The game will then complete the 'simulation' to the next day and I think everything is fine. You don't have to play that next game...once it reaches the pitcher selection screen you can then back out and deal with your rosters, or save your progress.

I think?

Hey guys, this is an issue that has bothered me since at least the 06 game.....

There are three options under the "PITCH CALLOUT" option in the Game Displays menu, they are "FULL", "SIMPLE", and "NONE".

Here's my beef...if you play on either simple or none, it removes the MPH speed from the pitch display. But why can't we have the speed shown at the top of the screen beside the count like it is in TV? In fact why has the MPH speed at the top of the screen gone away this year anyway?

Here's a glitch I found in RTTS mode. I created a player as a CF with LF as a secondary position. Bats L throws L. After being sent down to AA, I didn't get much playing time since there was already a good starting CF. I asked the manager to play at LF since it was my secondary positon. After a few games I got some more playing time as DH and then suddenly one game I started at SS!! I was even throwing right handed!?!!?

I checked the defensive positioning and I was penciled in as a SS against RHP with no DH.

I took a look at my player card and it still showed me as throwing with my L. After two games at SS, I reprised my role in CF since one of the starters got hurt. Thanksfully, I was throwing left handed again too.

Hopefully I wont see this glitch again.

Despite this, and the fact that my player card shows me hitting right handed with a different uniform number, I'm having a blast with my career so far. Great game!

On Road to the Show, it says "Goal Cancelled" instead of the technically correct spelling, "Goal Canceled."

Very minor, and it's still acceptable, just not correct.

the scoring isnt a bug, maybe u cant see the mob scene but that doesnt mean it isnt there, the rule is there for a reason....and it will ALWAYS be a rule, live with it or not.

Re: **MLB 08: The Show (All versions) Bugs/Glitches Thread**

I've found a terrible bug. Hopefully someone here can suggest a workaround. A little explanation first: I play franchise mode by playing out all the games for one pitcher and running the rest on sportcast manager so I can run through seasons quickly and try to develop a previously bad franchise. Sometimes I'll intervene late in a game to either close the game out or try for a late comeback. It seems that now everytime I enter the game and engineer a late inning comeback the game freezes at a specific point in the between innings animation. I've tried both "x"ing through the animation and letting the whole thing play. If I try to x the sequence it jumps straight to that one point in the animation it freezes at if I let it play out.
I know that I could just not intervene in the game but that really detracts from the game because of the way I like to play.

I'm playing on PS2.

Re: **MLB 08: The Show (All versions) Bugs/Glitches Thread**

I did a search and couldn't find where this has ever been brought up.

Classic pitching on the PSP is broke.

Yes, it's broke. Play with Classic pitching on the PS3 and it's challenging. It becomes hard to throw strikes and anyone who's played on classic pitch knows exactly what I'm speaking of. This is NOT THE CASE on the PSP. You have pinpoint control on the PSP. That's pinpoint control on HOF, Classic Pitch, and pitch control at -10 on the sliders.

Yep, it's broke. Will it get fixed for 09? I'd bet $100 that the answer to that is NO.

actually its called the "foul pole" because half of it is in foul territory, that's why the umpires look to see where the ball hit

I believe that's false. They look to see if it hit the pole or if it went in front of it or behind it. Anything that hits the pole is a home run, assuming it's above the home run line.
