Ok I think I have found out what my problem is when my ps3 reboots back to the ps3 xmb during game play it looks like every time I get my 5th home run with derek jeter in season mode which would be his 200th career home run it reboots some glitch happened three time in a row. this suck if your up buy allot and your in the top/bottom of the 9th and jeter gets up and cranks one out of the park and there go's your game lol.

Can you get close, then sim the next couple of games and see how that works out? I know it's not ideal, but it might be a 'work around'.

Not a game killing glitch or anything, but when I downloaded the latest roster, Daisuke had generic 21 as his pitching delivery instead of his own. When you put the delivery as Daisuke and accept it, it changes back to generic 21.

Nothing major as both deliveries are the same.

So jeter hit a homerun on the first game I simed and I was able to save the season so far so good. I will know the next time I hit a homerun with him if it is set in stone or not thanks again for the tip.

First off, let me say I've been fortunate to not have had ANY game effecting glitches until now. In fact, I've only ran into two glitches prior to now, the high socks for all players after throwbacks are used, and a wierd thing where the stadium was blacked out and only the players showed up (happened once in Camden and after a reset, never again). Anyway on to my glitch...

I was playing the Padres using the Nats in SD. It was late in the game and they subbed in Brian Giles at center for an injured Jim Edmonds. The game is tied and going into inning 11. I finally push a run across this inning and take a 4-3 lead into the bottom. I had saved my closer for such an occasion and bring him in. I work through the first two batters in the inning fairly quickly (two groundouts) and after a long battle I surrender a base hit to batter #3. The game plays through the cutscene normally and Brian Giles is announced. All of a sudden, before he can appear the camera ZOOMS in on his stat overlay then starts jerking around and settles on a nice close up of the side of my catchers head. It just stays like this, but the game seems to be running as though nothing happened (PA guy in the background, crowd chatter, etc.) After 10 minutes of "crap, I've lost this game" I tried fast forwarding (to the next half inning). IT WORKED!!! The only problem is, that the CPU blew the save for me. This happened again in the 15th inning (with Giles) and the CPU blew the save again!!! I ended up losing in 18 (on my own merits...or lack there of) but boy, that was frustrating. All in all, a minor problem (hadn't happened before and hasn't in 3 games since) and, as I've already said, I've been relatively "glitch free." Just wondering if anyone else had anything like this happen before?

I just had this happen today at Pittsburgh. Yadier Molina hit the foul pole in what should have been a go ahead three run home run but it bounced off the foul pole for a single. I know that Busch stadium's foul poles work as homeruns, so the bug must be limited to specific parks. Who knows which ones...

The other mistake I get alot is on infield pop ups that I hit, the CPU will often send their catcher running out to catch it - even if it lands right in front of second base.

I'm wondering if it is an error across the board. A ball hitting the 'foul pole' in all parks should be a home run. To get technical, it should be called the 'fair pole', because no part of it is in foul territory.

I have heard many people mention this type of glitch in The Show where the catcher goes to retrieve the ball while the other fielders don't move (I also read about this last year, and the year before in the '06 version as well). What I find odd, is that I've played the last 3 year's versions of The Show for what has to total in the hundreds of hours (that's hard to admit, but completely true) and I have never seen this glitch happen even once. I am not doubting that it does happen, obviously many others have reported it. I am just wondering if there is something in the way that some people play the game that triggers this to happen that not everybody does (perhaps something in the controls). Or, maybe I have just been extremely fortunate to never have seen this...which ever it is, I hope I never do (sounds ugly).

If I recall correctly, I saw this once last year and once so far this year. I play with AUTO fielding, so I doesn't have anything to do with controls IMO.
