btw, I just finished a game and Smoltz won the player of the game award... but the commentators congragulated Tim Hudson, aka the "Bulldog", for having great game.

this makes sense if you think. the dude won 7-6 because once the winning run scores..game over, no matter who's on base.

There's one instance where it does matter. A walkoff homer. All the runners on base do get credit for scoring (and the batter gets the RBI's the pitcher the ERA hit), that IS the rule. It's true that on a normal hit, the game is over when the winning run scores, but homers are different.

It is a glitch it was in last year and it seems to be in this year as well. I only played 3 games(worked over the weekend)and my record is 28 and 25

I had one graphic glitch where a reliever warming up in the bullpen was switched with my hitter at bat after it ran a HR replay from earlier in the game.

Hit a HR with Nick Swisher in the 4th. He comes up in the 6th after I start warming up Ehren Wasserman. The HR replay fires up, lags at the end, then Wasserman is at bat instead of Swisher.

Just a graphic switch. Swisher was still in the lineup later and Wasserman was still in the bullpen.

so the walkoff hr. glitch (where the runs and stats don't count) is in the retail version , i had it happen to me in the demo but was hoping it wasn't in the retail version, i wonder if it could have anything to do with whether or not hr celebrations are on or something like that?

They fixed the bug where all the coaching staffs get deleted (either in the PS3 version or the patch .. never played it unpatched). Also seemed to fix the bug where all your lineups get reordered every time a minor leaguer gets injured like it did in the PS2 version
