Hooray, he finally replied!!

I'm glad you guys are working on it. I'm also thrilled some were fixed with the patch (hopes A-Rod is one of the ones that was fixed).

Just downloaded the patch, glad to see Manny was fixed. Ortiz looks good too.

It's too bad you ignored A-Rod and Jeter, who have some of the worst batting stances in the game. They shuffle their feet the whole AB like they have to pee. Guess I'll have to wait for next year. Ugh.

whay about giants A.Howand?
that one is discusting...
he has a very specific stance, so it shouldnt be that hard to give him at least a "look a like" stance.

Yeah, I wonder why they fixed some and not others? I'm jealous that Manny and Ortiz have pretty much perfect batting styles now, yet A-Rod and Jeter still have some of the worst in the game. They are both atrocious. What's worse is that they have been the same since MLB 2006!

And Rowand has to be a mistake. There is no way they captured that stance for Rowand, it is 100% off in every way.

The good news is that they are fixing them. The bad news is we'll have to wait for next years game to get most of them. Looks like they only fixed 3 stances (out of the 100+ that are off) in the patch.

I thought the issue wasn't so much a criticism with the batting stances, but the swinging animations or follow through for each player while swinging.

No, they need to get the batters actually batting like their real-life counter parts before they worry about swing animations.

When A-Rod is up at the plate standing upright and shuffling his legs back and forth like a moron, I couldn't care less if his swing is accurate or not.

2.5 months later...Any updates on this? Like Rob said above, it just pains me to see ARod...The best player in the game, stance be so wrong. You guys really need to slow down the bat speed on a lot of these stances. Mannys in the update is perfect but his bat moves way to fast. Only a few hitters have that much motion going into their stances.

Can't wait to see Utley's personalized 2-handed axe swing :-) I have faith in you guys!

Re: Pet peeve (Signature styles) LONG POST

The good thing about all this is that The Show is so close to representing the game of baseball in the gameplay department that there is no reason anyone should argue with the people, myself included, that want accurate signature animations.

I always read the comment, "What do you want? More sig animations in a bad game or a great baseball game." Well, The Show is a great baseball game. So, can I have the sig animations now?

Seriously, it's good to know that SCEA is always working on every aspect of the game and that every version of their game is a clear improvement over the last. That's hard to find in sports video gaming.

Re: Pet peeve (Signature styles) LONG POST

Adrian Beltre does this weird thing where he points down to 1B whenever he checks his swing, as if that has any control on the umpire checking with the first base ump. It's pretty silly for a lot of reasons and a bizarre idiosyncrasy by Beltre.

But I think it would be cool if you put it in the game. So yeah.
