***The 'Perfect' Slider Set*** MLB 09 - The Show

Some of you (hopefully more than some) will remember the "Perfect" set from 08, and i hope they gave many people much enjoyment. This is to announce that the Perfect 09 set are under development, i have had numerous PM's asking about them so this is just to make it public.

As i said last year, please dont open this thinking im so conceited i think i have found perfection or even close to it, i havent, however what i have done is create a set of sliders for All-Star (you can use them on other levels if you want but they have been made with All-Star in mind) that i believe gives me, and hopefully you, the greatest balance of gameplay we can currently find.

I have created a spreadsheet and included what i consider to be the premier slider sets in here, namely Blzers, rudyjulys, Skyboxers and DallasRocks. Ive put them against each other, averaged figures to a certain degree, tested each set seperately and now i have basically merged what i believe to be the "strongest" part of each set to create this "perfect" set. I also tried default for a while so i could measure the changes against the box, so to speak.

Im currently putting the finishing touches to them and testing so i should be able to get the sliders themselves out later work permitting.

ON, after reading just about that whole thread i truly believe it isnt reversed...but worded badly, and having it on means its off, anyway, thats for another thread.

I think I used yours last year but I think I'm going to stick with ToObrien's this year. I'm playing on veteran and they seem to be really working for me in the early going. Unless it becomes to easy I doubt I'll change them. I'm getting a good variety of games from them.

I'm interested in seeing the combinations you have come up with though, might save your sliders for future reference.

Others, Dodger, Tribe etc, after spending most of today number crunching and testing extensively ive got the set together. A little more testing tomorrow to see if any tweaks needed and i should have version 1.1 up sometime tomorrow or early Wednesday, bit more patience guys nearly there, im surprised its only taken 2 weeks of having the game to get to this stage this year, took longer last year, thats probably because it does play better out of the box and not as much tweaking is needed.

Hey Physco, you including my set? I believe it plays well on All-Star as well as HOF. Averages look good to me
