Then I'll take a quick look at his blue area...then cross my fingers that my pitcher doesn't miss...and throw the right pitch at the right time in the blue area...and get the batter to strikeout or just make a damn out...lol
Batter and pticher analysis tool works even better. I use it before I pitch to any batter. I turn the zones off just because it removes clutter and lets me focus. Also I makes me "get a feel" for the strike zone since finding a strike zone is what reall pitchers do. I think the hot/cold zones cheat a bit. It is effective and ultimatley a huge challenge. Like A ROD belted some 3 homers off of me in a 4 game series becasue I tries to paint his cold zone off the analysis tool. However I missed his zone and put in in his hot zone and I paid for it. Just realistic if you ask me.

Re: Check This Out

but...in a game earlier this season I'm playing, A-Rod hit FOUR...count 'em...FOUR homers off of my Rays pitchers in one game...

so...if it's gonna be, it's gonna be....
and I tried all kinds of different things in his 4 AB's

Re: Check This Out

What a coincidence! I was the Rays to....A ROD got dealt with though. I had JP Howell deal with him. that curve ball is naaaaasty! I had to throw up and in with a Garza 4SFB and that also popped him up. Believe it or not I just got DESTROYED by the mariners. They didnt put any out but man they were killin sonnanstine. I think it was 10-2. 8 runs in the 7th. I couldnt believe it. Crappy homecoming. It was like I couldnt do anything. Shades of the 5th game boston slaughter house crept all over me as I watched and played helplessly!!! I love this game all over again.

OUCH....That hurts. Thats a period where just changes need to be made. I fired my hitting guru and hired a better one as well as pent some seriuos $ on training. Especially hitting and pitching and its paying dividends. Try that, it might work. Man, yanks got a little pissed. Let me guess sheilds, kazmir, garza? in that order?

I don't do the panic thing and replace coaches, fire managers and all that other stuff which rarely happens in real baseball...so I'm good with that. I also keep in mind that the attributes for players is for the PRECEDING year...which many forget...therefore, I know what we see/saw in 2008 in real life, ain't gonna neccessarily happen if you play out your season with the accurate rosters and not have Hanley on the Angels, Pujols on the Giants, Lincecum on the Cards, Holliday on the Dodgers, etc....lmao

regarding the slaughterfest vs the Yanks, it was:

Shields: 1 IP-8 ER

Balfour (Ryu started): 1IP-1 ER

Sonnenstine: 3.1 IP-10 ER
