Which sliders has everyone decided upon?

With summer over and all of the slider adjustments finished, what has everyone decided to play? Just want to see which sliders are most popular and what level everyone is playing on.

I think I have decided on all-star default, I have gotten the most realistic games so far unless someone out there has a better suggestion!! (I was using the "perfect slider set" but I finished a season with Seattle and won the World Series while hitting .334 as a team and Carlos Silva won the Cy Young going 22-6.) Hitting was way too easy with that slider set, so I am seeking advice.

You are right on track my man, All-Star default is the way to go. I tried about 10 different sets including creating my own, but nothing give you a better game and more randomness then All-Star default does.

I agree. When All Star default got too easy for me, I just jumped up to HOF default. Great games!!!

To me ive tried every set there is and i only play on HOF level, to me i think CAREWS SLIDERS ARE GREAT!! realistic pitch counts, hits a game, stats, etc......good teams r good teams, and bad teams are pesky to beat, carews sliders work excellent on knights last update for gameplay, just a word of thought.................Nasa

Re: Which sliders has everyone decided upon?

Just started a new franchise with the Mariners and won 4-1 and 5-3. Bedard was a stud in the first game and Hernandez was decent in the second game. I have decided to use classic pitching instead of meter pitching and really like the change so far, doesn't feel like there are as many mistake pitches. The only thing I am concerned about is that I did not have any extra base hits in either game, 12 singles in the first game and 10 singles in the second game. Granted, I know Seattle doesn't have much of a power threat but I think they should have a few extra base hits in two games.

When you guys are using all-star default, do you use guess pitch or power swing? I am not a fan of the guess pitch feature but I will use the power swing if the count is 1-0, 2-0, 2-1, 3-0 or 3-1.

Which version do you like? He has a version 1 and a version 2. Do you have a difficult time with the pitch speed being at 20?

Re: Which sliders has everyone decided upon?

I remember a while back that there were some sliders on here titled "Old Man Realistic Sliders" or something like that. Can someone post the lastest version of these if you have them? Thanks.

I started off using his version 1 then switched to version 2, but honestly there is so little difference...

I do not have a difficult time with pitch speed at 20 cos i play with the camera behind the pitcher so you hardly notice the difference between 10 and 20... it is even more realistic to see a faster pitch...

What i really like from carew's sliders is variety... you can really see every kind of hit (center field, opposite field..) and there are a lot of extra base hits (3 days ago i played with the marlins vs the mets and i finished the game with 5 hits, none of them a single... 1 HR, 1 3b and 3 2b...)...
