What i really like from carew's sliders is variety... you can really see every kind of hit (center field, opposite field..) and there are a lot of extra base hits (3 days ago i played with the marlins vs the mets and i finished the game with 5 hits, none of them a single... 1 HR, 1 3b and 3 2b...)...
i agree carew sliders give u a variety of everything from pitchcounts to all type of hits also the cpu plays very good with carew sliders losing never felt so fun,one thing i must point out his version 2 sliders r great but i left the human hitting the same as version 1 i get excellent games and i play in the catcher view for pitching and hittting, Thanks........

Re: Which sliders has everyone decided upon?

I stand corrected. I tried out Psycho's perfect sliders again without adjusting pitch speed, WOW!! I have played about 10 games so far and am seeing excellent results, I had a 5-4 15 inning thriller against KC. My pitching has been dominate so far, I am hoping that will start to even out as my ERA right now is around 2.75.

Should I use Carew's version 1 or 2 sliders?

Steven..have you tried using Knight's final rosters with default sliders? With his editing of individual player's contact/power ratings it seems to give me good results. However, I haven't played enough games to validate.

Re: Which sliders has everyone decided upon?

I tried default sliders with the updated rosters and found my pitching to be too good and I was hitting about .330 but I had very few extra base hits. I have been using Carew's sliders (ver. 2) for a couple of games now and am having pretty decent results. I was worried that the pitch speed being at 20 would be too high but it is actually pretty good. When you turn on a 95 mph fastball and hit it 400 ft, it feels good!! I have been getting shelled with Carews sliders, I have actually lost three in a row, 6-2, 9-8, 14-5. This was the Yankees series, before this I played the Indians and shut them down, 6-1, 7-3 and 9-5. I have only played around six or seven games with these sliders, so I have to give them another 40 games before I can really comment on the statistical performance of the slider set. So far, so good!!

i have tried default sliders, there not bad but there not for me,pitching is to easy and i only play on HOF level, also i dont get my pitchcounts every game and the cpu dont hit enough, if u want a good game of baseball with challenging gameplay, try carew sliders version 2,but change the human hitting sliders to version 1, also play in the catchers view for batting and pitching, i will endorse Carew sliders to anyone, he has a great set,u will use ur whole roster for almost every game u play, thats how challenging Carews sliders are, losing never felt so fun ,Thanks carew !!!!................Nasa

Re: Which sliders has everyone decided upon?

Does it matter if you use the catcher or pitcher view when pitching? Does it affect gameplay or is that just a personal preference? I have been trying carews sliders and am having some difficulty pitching, giving up way too many runs and I consider myself a good pitcher, I know how to pitch. I will throw a slider which is almost in the dirt and the CPU hits a freakin laser off the wall.
