Pitchers Confidence..............

How do people play? On or Off?

My question is, if I play with them off does an individual pitchers pitches all have the same effectiveness thus there is no difference between a #1 pitch and a #4 pitch in a pitchers arsenal?, or will the pitchers pitches perform with the attributes that are assigned from SCEA or Knight to that particular pitchers arsenal thus still differentiating between the effectiveness of a pitchers #1 pitch and #4 pitch.

All pitchers have a dominating pitch and a mediocre pitch that they continue to work on. I just want to make sure that is still represented in gameplay with confidence off.

The confidence meter to me is like the momentum meter in ncaa football; too arcadish and way too extreme for my blood. Talk to any pitcher and they'll tell you they never lose confidence in there abilities out on the rubber so why would they in a video game?

I've heard that it is harder to hit if you play with the confidence off.

Can anyone fill me in.

I'm not a 100% sure on this, but I think when you turn the confidence meter off it just turns off the "visual aid" but the confidence system still stays the same. Its kinda like when you turn off the throw meter for fielding, you still have pressure sensitive throws, you just dont get to see the meter anymore.

So I dont believe it changes the gameplay. It just removes the visual aid.
