Timing window clarification help

Im enjoying the game but need some clarification on one slider. Does adjusting the timing window to the right (increasing) make it easier to get the bat on the ball or harder? I appreciate any help with this.

Re: Timing window clarification help

Im nearly positive that raising this slider to the right will make it easier to get a bat on the ball, I dont necessarily think it will lead to a ton more hits but it will definitely lower your strikeout totals for your own team, ie. how many times you strike out.

Pimping, I think you are half right on this. Yes, increasing this slider will help you not strikeout as aften. However, Brian SCEA responded to a post where he alluded to the quality of your hits being afftected by the timing slider. The quality of your hits are in fact associated with timing. He wrote that slightly early contact gives you a better chance at a perfect hit (grossly paraphrased). I'm at work otherwise I would dig up the post. Do a search for his posts.

I dont doubt it because if the pitch can get deep on you and you can still make contact, it wont be solid contact, so you are going to see more bloopers and bleeders and dribblers. If you are swinging and missing at those pitches then you will see less of those but more strikeouts.

Re: Timing window clarification help

Timing slider must be increased to make it harder to make contact. Decreasing it makes it easier to get your bat on the ball when the timing of your swing is not ideal.

I believe Ryan's comment is disputed by others. There is a longer post in this forum on the same topic, and there are many views on this.

Is the slider backwards? No one seems to know for sure. The game tells us that moving the slider to the right SHOULD increase the ability to make contact.
