I have been using another set provided on OS and after hitting the all-star break,( I play 1 game a day and follow the real life season) I am getting 10+ hits a game. This is with -10 hq -10 timing window and letting the CPU get 2 strikes on me before I swing. After about game 50 it just got to easy to hit. I am hitting like .346 the last 40 games. I will be interested to see what happens with pitch speed at 20 and some of the other adjustments you have there.

Maybe, but keep in mind that the 'balance' that some of us here try to reach...is a delicate one. While it is of utmost importance to edit most players (some totally), by not doing so, the stats will never play out as they should.

An example:

I don't care what anyone says, if a guy has 0-3 homers last year in a full season (or projected season) of AB's, his power (L and R) is ZERO....period.

As you may have noticed, all guys who have NO POWER in The Show 08...out of the box...are given power minimums of about 35...that will never work.

Well Carew, I said I would play 10 games with these sliders before I would make a judgement, but after 5 games I pretty much know what I am gonna get. I have used your exact sliders except for CPU pitch control which I have had at 20 ( because of the walk issue), and I am still getting 10 hits a game. I even have got away from guess pitch and zone hitting. I just don't have fun anymore because even if I lose the game I am still getting 10+ hits. If I had the feeling from the first pitch that I may get held to only 1-4 hits I could keep playing this game. But I know before I start win or lose the CPU is going to yield 10 hits and thats no fun to me. Thanks for all your work trying to make this game fun.

really? Hmmmm...maybe you're just a supernatural player...LMAO

As you guys have seen, I have had many low scoring/low hit games....

I don't know what to tell you

but you're welcome

Re: (PS3) CAREW29's SLIDERS: HALL OF FAME

Lol, by no means am I a supernatural player. Quite honestly after 5 games the pitch speed at 20 was not that big of a difference. I had played with a pitch speed of 10 before, and I was really surprised that moving it up to 20 seemed only a little faster after my third game. It just seems like if contact is made it is a hit more likely than an out. This is a flaw in the game, not your sliders. I'm gonna try your sliders on all-star which I always thought played better anyway (imo). Hey at least you got a laugh today.

Great set....are working nicely for me. Thanks much for all your time ( especially the note taking / research ) and effort. Other than making just the slightest of modifications these are literally almost tailor made for my preferences. Thanks again!!

@ Revolution42

thank you...I appreciate it. I think tonight after I get home, I'm gonna post the scores from the last 10 games in my Rays and Mets franchise....

Like real baseball, I THINK I captured the cyclical nature of the game. In what seems like the last 15-20 games, there's been a TON of low scoring and low-hit games...both by me and the CPU.

Whats up Carew,

I am going to try these out because I too am looking for that baseball variety in games and scores.I know that you are a baseball nut and play the game the right way.

I just hope that I do not need your roster set to get similar results using your sliders. I am definately going to load thses bad boys up.
