That's strange. Do you have your human injury slider maxed? If not, where do you have it?

I wonder why I don't see nearly as many injuries as you do.

I just finished my first season, and I'm about half a month into my second.

And I never sim. Strange huh? In my first season I only had about 3-4 injuries...all of which were my pitchers, and the length was 2-3 weeks long at most.

Hey Carew, one more thing if you don't mind.

How many strikeouts do you usually get per game(I know it depends on the pitcher, but please give me some examples)? I think I just may stink at getting strikeouts....do you have any tips for me, including both slider tips and pitching tips? I average about 3-5 K's a game(even with good strikeout pitchers like Joba Chamberlain).

Thanks.

P.S. I do have Batter Plate Discipline turned way down, so I'm not sure what else I can do.

hi...no slider tips per se, since I'm using what I posted, but regarding pitching tips:

a) TRY to get ahead of the batter...starting with strike one

b) MIX your pitches. If you don't, it's usually a short matter of time before the CPU will make you pay.

c) INTENIONALLY throw off the plate---especially with 2 strikes. Most batters will chase IF you set them up properly. They may foul off a few, or you may miss with a few, but if your dequence is good, you'll get em...

d) never throw you entire sequence to a batter in the same general area. As in real life, change his eye level. I think it was Franceour the other night that I'll use an example. Real life history (and The Show '08 history) tells me NEVER throw him a first pitch fastball, unless it's WAY off the plate. So I threw him a circle change for a strike. Then a curve that broke on the outside corner for strike two. Two pitches and he did NOT swing. Then a 4-seam fastball high in the strike zone and in a little...he was jammed and swung anyway---STRIKE THREE!

I'd say on average, I get between 7-9 K's per game
