brimad78 hof sliders - try these and let me know.
Hey everyone,
I posted a set of sliders for hof difficulty on sports connect last night. I would like for you all to give them a try and let me know what you think. They are under brimad78 hof on sports connect. I tested them over several games and got great results. However, I did change them a bit after a few games. Bump the CPU hit quality up to -7 from -10, and the 1st player hit quality up to -8 from -10. Also, put the pitch speed to +10, I play this with classic pitching, no pitch guessing, and I rarely use the power swing button. I also play with the pitcher confidence off. You still get confidence overall, but not for each individual pitch. Before this slider, I was hitting 14-17 hits/game, and the computer was hitting 12-15 per game, over 10 games. Here are two box scores from games after these sliders:
STL: 3 runs 5 hits 0 errors (w: Wainright, Save: Isringhausen, HR: Ankiel)
COL: 1 run 3 hits 1 error (L: Cook)
STL: 2 runs 6 hits 0 errors (L: Wellemeyer)
WASH: 3 runs 4 hits 0 errors (W: Perez)
STL: 1 run 3 hits 0 errors
WASH: 0 Run 3 hits 0 errors
I have really been pleased with these sliders. I am averaging 3 strikeouts/game and walking 1-3 batters. I strike out twice per game and walk 1-3 times. You will really have to battle to get hits, and the computer will really battle you when you are on the mound. Plus it is a real challenge when a pitcher throws a change up right after a fastball (it is harder to pick up the change up ball speed, just like in real life). There are not as many foul balls with these sliders, sometimes I was averaging 5-10 foul balls per at bat. Now I will get 0-4 fouls per at bat if any at all. The ball comes off the bat like it should, and I am not experiencing as many throwing errors (some games I would have 3 throwing errors, I can understand the game becoming harder, but these guys are pros).
Again, please try these out and let me know what you think.
