GAMEPLAY Changes after the 18th april patch

I havent got home yet to test the patch, but i think its a good idea to start a thread to discuss if someone is noticing any gameplay changes that need slider adjustments or things that dont need sliders anymore.

lets get started,
post your thoughts!

I wouldn't know. I can't get past 9% of the patch download. I guess when you consider that's twice as far as I got last night it's not so bad.
At this rate I will have the patch downloaded in time for the All-Star game.

Try connecting your PS3 straight to your modem. I had the same problem and this worked.

The cpu is definitely hitting me harder on HOF. I've lowered their hit quality and power from +8 and +5 to +3 and +3 and they are hitting me pretty hard. It feels like I have less control over my pitches as well.

I have to agree. I am using +2 for cpu quality/power/disc. and they are hitting me. Also, I am having a hard tiime throwing strikes now.

Something is different because this wasn't the case in my 100+ games prior at these settings

Re: GAMEPLAY Changes after the 18th april patch

I got in two manage only mode games last night(nice to be able to just hit the triangle button every once in a while when you're sick ) and noticed that the CPU threw more balls. First batter 4 pitch walk....then the CPU started hitting my guys hard.(minor league games)....doubles...homers.
Could be coincidence ...who knows....
Second game was Santana dealing a no hitter to the Fish until the eighth inning. My guys were pounding Olsen until the 4th scoring 6. He seemed to settle in but had thrown too many pitches was replaced and the bullpen quieted the guys down. We won 7-0.
Nice to see two very different games and also the game seem to change flow throughout.
I'm still up in the air about the OF reaction....but I did see six doubles in the two games.

that wont work. My PS3, modem and TV are not in the same room.
Can this patch be posted on here to download to a flash drive to take to my PS3?

Let me rephrase that, my modem is not in the same room as the TV and PS3.
