Psycho, I have only played a couple games with these, but I was wondering if you are seeing a nice amount of doubles? You and I hit alike (not using L stick) so I think I am really going to like these. thanks

Yep, im seeing exactly the same, harder to check bunt hit, closer first bag plays etc and definately more realistic steal totals.

Let me know how it continues to go for you.

Very much mate, plenty of doubles for me and the CPU, but nothing unrealistic. A lot of it i find is being aggressive on the basepaths, a lot of times what you think is only a long single could have been a double had you gone for it, especially with a speedy runner, going for it more has gotten me more doubles.

Re: Creating The *** "Perfect" Slider Set ***

I have now played 10 games with these and the variety is real nice.
I'm seeing so many different hits. I hit a pitch today in one game that was waaaaay in on my fists. Well, I managed to just get a piece of the ball and blooped it towards the SS. He waited, jumped but just couldn't reach it as it fell in for a hit.
I'm able to pull the ball down the line a lot more too, which has led to more doubles than I was getting before.
Nice job on these psycho!!

excellent, thanks alot, I just played a game and had 3 doubles one in the gap and two pulled down the line. I always play with pitch speed down 5 clicks casue I have bad reflexes.

Bleacher and tree3five, great to hear that, and great to hear you gave it at least 10 games before analysing them Bleacher

If there is one thing I would want to change is my pitchers' control. Seems like I can pitch to any specific location at will.
I was thinking of upping pitch movement so the ball goes out of the zone a little more.

Maybe, but dont be too hasty.

Have you only been playing exhibition games with them? And only using the top 1 & 2 men in the rotation?

I find there is a big difference between pitching with an ace and a back end of the rotation guy, the ace can control it a lot better, as it should be, whereas many weak rotation guys can and do get shelled on occasion.

Re: Creating The *** "Perfect" Slider Set ***

I've been using them in franchise and with all my pitchers. I've only played spring training games though so my pitchers are usually in there for a few innings.
I've actually turned the ball marker off and it made a difference. Makes it a little tricky to know where you're aiming.

The one other thing I'm having trouble with is it seems the CPU pitcher is always right around the plate. Very rarely do I see balls way out of the zone. Tends to make things a little one-sided when I get guys on base. Seems just about everything the CPU throws is right in the zone to be hit hard.
I am assuming that has something to do with pitcher confidence as I mainly see this when I get a few hits in a row. Would a change to CPU pitcher aggressiveness help this?
