HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

Okay guys, this is what I am going to run with for a while. Some of the adjustments may look extreme but some were needed to give the cpu a kick in the pants. You can get smacked around a little and actually lose some of the time, how about that! Also, the cpu outfielders will challenge you and throw to the bag or home plate so be careful, you have been warned!

When Knight does his edits some of these will need to be backed down.


Default is treated as 0

Human

Starting pitcher fatigue: 0
Relief pitcher fatigue: +3
Pitch Movement: -5
Pitch Command: -10
Wild Pitch Frequency: -5
Set 1 [Hit Quality: -10 / Power: +1]
Set 2 [Hit Quality: -8 / Power: 0]
Set 3 [Hit Quality: -6 / Power: +2]

Plate Vision: -3
Throw Strength: -2
Throw Accuracy: -2
Fielder Speed: -4
Passed Ball frequency: -5
Injury Frequency: +2
Timing Window:-2
Foul Tip %: -8 (not convinced it works)
Base runner Speed: +1
Ground ball Error Frequency: +6
Fly ball Error Frequency: +3
Throwing Error Frequency: +1

CPU

Pitcher Aggressiveness: -10
Pickoff Frequency: +1
Hit Quality: +10
Power: +1
Batter Plate Discipline: -4/-5
Throw Strength: +5
Throw Accuracy: -2
Fielder Reaction time: -10
Base Running Aggressiveness:-3
Base Stealing Aggressiveness: +2
Stolen Base Frequency: +2
Injury Frequency: +2
Manager Hook: +5
Pitch Control: -4
Pitch Movement: +6
Strike %: -4
Timing Window: 0

Hey Nem.

I have been testing these for last few days as you know and find that on the whole the CPU power even at +2 seems fine, nothing overblown, im wondering if at +1 it might shut them down too much?

It does not seem to because what we traded in power we took in hit quality and then some!

Hey nem, do u have any boxscores for these, like what kind of pitch counts, hit variety, and run-hit ratis are you seeing?

Hey Nem, will lowering pitch speed have any effect on the sliders? I had been playing with Highheat's sliders and his pitch speed was at -8 so of course I'm having a bit of trouble.....lol.

Nem, what's your rationale for the Pitch Window settings? What effect have you seen, and what are you trying to accomplish with those settings?

Second question .... what the heck does the Plate Vision slider do, if I am playing out the games, not simming?

I have never had it down that low. I know some have said that throwing out runners could be an issue because of the slower speed. If you do not have any of those issues now then you should not have any problems.
