Doubles for the human or the cpu? To me the cpu seems more lively and the majority are seeing the cpu hit. As far as doubles for the human, I see no problems with that issue. I have posted a few combo sets so you can see which one fits best for you.
i found out that if u play searching for those doubles , they wont come...ull probalby have 11 hits , all singles in that game...

BUT if u play the game just by the way it is and start actually enjoying yourself, not worring about the deemed realisitc boxscorers, the doubles will startcoming just fine!

lol..I think people are enjoying themselves when playing this game... at least I am.

However, I dont think that if you think of trying to get doubles or that if you have it in your head that you want extra base hits, then you will only get singles is absurd....lol what the hell sense does that make?? lol

well it doesnt make any statistic or pratical sense i know...

But what i mean is that sometimes people try to achive certain results in the game so bad that they forget about having fun. And than u atomaticly start to highlight whats wrong with the game in your mind, instead of highlighting whats right about it.

its all about the way u look at things...if your mind is set that the game doesnt have enough doubles, than comes a game that u get 1 double in 7 hits, ull problaby end up saying: Heck only one double!, but if u have a diferent perpective, u might look at another way and say: well, theres a double!


dont know if u got what i mean, its hard to explain, but its the same thing with the so mentioned "sliders black hole".

P.s(edit): Dont get me wrong, i know that the superspeed fielder issue is a fact, but what i mean is that if u try to overlook it , ull enjoy the game evan more.
Although the game seems broken in this x-basehit department, becaue the fielder are so damn good and fast, seems to me that the game has its own ways of producing x-basehits(ok, mostly balls hit to the walls..) but in the end of the season i think that the doubles and triples stats will be just fine for your team.


ps.2: after saying all that, i must admit im praying everyday that kolbe or chris comes up here and say: guys well be release an patch in wich the OF speed slider will be fully working!

I played a game yesterday with the original slider set. I scored 17 runs on 23 hits with the Cardinals against the Cubs. I use classic pitching with no API and no hitting aids, including X for hitting only. I dropped Hum Contact to -10, Power to +1 and Timing Window to +4 as someone suggested here.

The results were still ridiculous:

Reds 0/4/1
Cards 15/22/2

W - Looper - 9.0 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 4 SO
L - Harang - 5.0 IP, 9 H, 5 ER, 6 SO


This is starting to get concerning. I hope this game isn't broken.

Things I've noticed with any slider set:
1. Relief pitchers suck. Any time I get an early hit off of a reliever I know I'm going to put up a crooked number.
2. Walks are not as big of a problem as people make them out to be. I have little patience and I get a couple each game.

Try playing on All Star. Also, turn off confidence. Seems like as soon as you start hitting the CPU, they collapse. With confidence off, this wont happen

The only pitcher confidence that can be turned off is the individual pitch type confidence. The actual pitcher confidence remains on.

Right, but doesnt the individual confidence ratings for each pitch affect the overall confidence of the pitcher?

I do not understand all these high scoring games. Once in a while is okay, but not every time. The only time I see those box scores is when I play online. I had 6 home runs and 2 were grand slams! LOL.

07 was a lot more refined in some ways!
