I am going to follow your lead with the timing window Joe and test it out. If it rings true, I will change on the master set. Thanks for the feedback!

I was the Sox then Rays.

So as you can see, started off with a great pitching duel between Rich Hill and Jose Contreras then had a good game, albeit a defeat, against the M's, Richie Sexson hitting 2 bombs.

Ill report back as i play more but its looking good so far.

p.s. ignore pberardi, all he does is go round looking to bad mouth any part of any game....i simply dont believe a word he says.
I dont claim to know his posting history but I can understand his frusteration if the CPU gets behind in the count 3-0 and then suddenly has laser accuracy with their pitches thus never walking the user, that would really get old after while. Secondly, if you decide to start hacking because you feel you will never walk and are actually rewarded for it then I would agree with his take on it as well.

In the end Im hoping there is some attribute that we can alter for pitchers that will either make their accuracy worse or their aggression worse, either way Im holding out hope that a change in ratings may fix this problem, or atleast I hope.

I just dont see this issue fella.

I draw walks every game, sometimes 2/3/4 sometimes more.

It really is all about knowing what to swing at and what not to.

I think I agree with this. I am such a hacker, thus I never draw many walks. The pitchers are definitely pitching out of the strike zone and often. Sometimes, it probably looks like I'm playing with a blindfold on at the plate.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

Been doing some testing using AI v AI games (in season mode) and these are giving some really good and varied games. I've made one or two slight tweaks but I'm seeing pitching duels when you'd expect it and also teams getting bombed...had one game where Milwaukee hammered Boston 15-3 - Colon was taken apart early for 6 runs before being pulled in the 2nd.

The next game in that series turned into a 5-1 Red Sox win...Brewers had 11 hits but only one run...I'm seeing plenty of doubles, even the odd triple...walks and strikeouts seem fine too....

Great stuff Nem...like I say this is AI v AI so not sure if the difficulty matters but certainly the sliders do in most areas.

Re: HOF Sliders (Project Nemesis MLB 08)

Maybe I just suck at the game, but the computer is a great challenge with the sliders for me. I would consider myself a hacker, and I'm getting 3-6 runs per game, yet to hit double digits. When I hack, they start pitching outside the zone because they know I'll swing which causes me to strike out a lot. I use the power swing when I'm ahead in the count, and I don't use any guess pitch stuff. If i'm more patient, I'm sure I can get 3 or more walks per game, and I actually did have a 4 pitch walk with these sliders. I was a 2K guy before this year, so maybe I'm just not as good but anyway they work for me.

had another great game

Cubs 0 8 1
SF(me) 3 7 1
WP: Zito 6inn 0er 2bb 3k
LP: Zambrano 6.2inn 0er 3bb 5k

zambrano didnt have any ER in this game, all the runs came after a throwing mistake by Theriot...lol
in the bottom 4th inning with two outs Theriot made an throwing error in a ground ball hit by Roberts, in that error roberts ended up at third! than after that zambrano throwed a wild pitch, roberts scored, than zambrano got wild for good, walked 2 in a row and hit Duhram in the back. bases full, 2 out. Aurilla comes up and hit a single between third and short....2 runs come in....after that inning the offenses of both teams just died.

seems that my "too much hitting" problem is gone for good

Are these sliders online on sportsconnect? Also, Nem how are you finding hitting in particular doubles?

They are going up tonight. I got distracted playing online games last night, lol!

Doubles for the human or the cpu? To me the cpu seems more lively and the majority are seeing the cpu hit. As far as doubles for the human, I see no problems with that issue. I have posted a few combo sets so you can see which one fits best for you.

ok cool , you seem to have this thing down to a science. Did you find hitting easy on the default HOF and much harder now? Also how many runs/hits are you averaging per game?
