I got permission from Jackdog to create a official thread that solely speaks about player ratings, adjustments, formulas, so on and so forth.

I want to start off talking about different real-life stats that may or do contribute to attributes in the game, to help with creating formulas. Here are just a few that I came up with. Feel free to add to this list as you please.

Batting -

• Contact - Batting Average, Hits, Extra-Base Hits

• Power - Homeruns, Slugging %

• Bunting Ability - ?

• Drag Bunts - # of Bunts for Base Hits

• Plate Vision - Strikeouts

• Plate Discipline - Walks

• Clutch - AVG with RISP, RBI with RISP

• Durability - # of Games Played

• Speed - James' Speed Score

• Arm Strength - ?

• Arm Accuracy - # of Throwing Errors

• Reaction - Range Factor

• Fielding Ability - Field %

• Blocking - # of Passed Balls

• BR Ability - % of Stolen Bases, XBH

• BR Aggr. - # of SB Attempts, XBH

Pitching -

• Stamina - Innings/G, CG

• Pitching Clutch - ERA, WHIP, BAA with RISP

• H/9 - H/9

• HR/9 - HR/9

• K/9 - K/9

• BB/9 - BB/9

Pitching clutch is how well you pitch with runners in scoring positions.

So would you make it something like ERA with RISP, or BAA with RISP?

BA with runners in scoring would probably work well...I still think Win Shares are the best for Clutch, but try calculating that for Nolan Ryan in 1982.....

Yeah, I was looking for stats that other people can find easily so they can create there own by themselves

What do you guys think of using Batters Faced/9. I thought that clutch was about how well a pitcher could get a guy out, and this would work well
