I would LOVE it if they let you edit the incoming draft class.

Just like in NBA2k9....they did an amazing job being able to edit the upcoming draft class. This would be a dream come true!

One of the things they should do for 2010 is put potential draft picks like Stephen Strasburg into the list of players you can scout. Ht. age , weight , college or HS,real pictures, and even country if they come from another country. There's no need at this point to continue putting fake players in the Amateur Draft, any more than we need fake minor leaguers.

They want to hear this stuff....trust me...fleshing out the franchise is my main point with the guys in S.D.
Great idea.....scouting should be a main focus in the game IMO.
I would love that.....and you and a couple of other guys here on O.S. seem to know what you are talking about when it comes to young players.

What they should do is let us edit the prospects, like in NBA 2K9. Or they should add a new feature that allow us to create or import a Draft Class.

This is something that can make the Franchise play very deep. I play Franchise a lot, so I need that. Playing Madden 09, the importing of the draft class made the game more real and fun.

One of the differences between Madden and MLB is the fact of how the drafts are handled. Pro football players mostly come from college, so EA can have a import draft class from NCAA into Madden. You couldn't have a MLB equivalent to Madden, since the players come from international, HS, and college. You could import college players from the NCAA baseball games to the Show, if that series was still around. Then again, we would be dealing with different VG companies, so I don't know if that would work like it did with Madden.

How about they allow us to edit the upcoming draft class and u are able to download it from SC or on these boards? That would be amazing if we were able to a "general class" for each year and we can "import" it.

Re: Knight's draft prospect information

I've been wondering-could you make the incoming prospects for the Amateur Draft into a roster set? Let's say you have 200 legitimate prospects you could put onto 6-8 'teams". Make them in CAP format, get scouting reports early in the year to base it on, and upload them onto the Roster Vault in June. Once the international prospects are signed to the various teams you could possibly make them into a separate roster set and upload them. It would be a awful lot of work, but it really would be worth it. It's probably too late to do it this year, but it's something to think about for next year.

That would be pretty sweet.
Too bad you can't move guys from roster to roster...I'd be all over that.
I'm hiring you next year!

Re: Knight's draft prospect information

So if I change the players being scouted, do the previously scouted players retain their analysis?

I have never really meddled with scouting before (or the draft).

Once your scout has revealed any information on a prospect, that information is retained. You can switch to another prospect, and keep the information on the former prospect.
