Yeah not to get Rod after me lol, but I agree Garza has a 2 seamer, it has way too much movement to be a 4 seamer. Second Price is a three pitch pitcher, and a website Rod uses 60 ft 6 inches verifies that. Just my opinion

Actually he uses game footage not 60ft6in. That's my thing. Also the pitches are pretty much locked in. You'll have to change that yourself.

Nah, dont worry about that....you aren't all over the place like some on OS...so it's all good...

I'll check for what I have on Garza later...
If I don't have him with a 2-seamer, I'm sure he wasn't throwing it when I tracked him.

A lot of the guys in the game...I did the work on them one season or two seasons ago...once done, that's it..I don't go back and reinvent their arsenal. I'll only add (if they have room), subtract or replace it...

So I'll check later

For Price, as RazR and myself have spoken on many times, he is MORE than a three-pitch pitcher--don't let anyone tell you otherwise...I don't use 60' 6" though...Personally, I never use written text about what a pitcher's speed and break is. Many times they get it wrong...mainly because the info is not kept up to date.

mlb.com at times, it woefully incorrect too...their gameday info, while informational, is VERY flawed when it comes to identifying the pitch type and the speed at times...

Just last night when I was looking at Ross Detwiler's arsenal--they actually have his 83mph circle-chance identified as an 83mph 2-seam fastball....that's silly..
Detwiler's fastball clocks in from 90-93mph....

that's why on mlb.com I have to have the gameday screen up AND the video next to it....and then pitch-by-pitch use my EYES to reconcile what I see...

Re: Matt Garza

ok in checking

I have his arsenal as:

4-seam

slider

changeup

12-6 curve

running fastball

I'll watch a few of his innings to get the break and speed...
then I will remove the running fastball

Re: Matt Garza

For what it's worth, this is what I do when it comes to pitchers: if a pitcher is what I believe to be a "power pitcher," I'll give him a rising fastball. If not, I'll give him a four-seamer or a sinker...

For instance, in your ratings, AJ Burnett has a four-seam fastball, whereas Adam Wainwright has a rising fastball. I didn't like this, because Wainwright was getting way too many strikeouts as hitter's chased that rising fastball off the plate. Conversely, when I would pitch with Burnett, his fastball didn't seem imposing enough.

For me personally, I don't like using pitch F/X, but instead like using my personal reputation of a pitcher. To me, a rising fastball needs to belong to a pitcher that can dominate with just that pitch -- Wainwright is not one of those pitches. Burnett, however, is. With your edits, it didn't seem faithful to real life.

I do want to say that your work is tremendous, and that comparing your stock ratings with the edits is unbelievable. It's a huge improvement. Just thought I'd throw in my opinion... This post wasn't intended to be malicious, so I hope you don't take it that way. Keep up the great work, man!

But Burnett doesn't have enough control to get guys to chase like that so the four seam would be better IMO. You also can dominate with it. I've thrown that by guys a ton of times.

Re: RAZRr1275's Pitch Edits Thread

Razr, Thanks for all of this hard work.

Quick question:
Psycho Bulk's sliders play beautifully with Knight's rosters, but I really want the roster set that has the stamina edits in them.

What sp and rp stamina and hook sliders will coincide with your stamina edits?
