Guys, i dont mean to ask a really dumb question that may have been asked before(searched but havnt found the answer), but my only question is- will the post deadline draft rosters, that havnt had the stats edited, contain the original stats for the major leaguers when u first buy the game?? or the stats that were given to mlb players throughout the last official update? thanks

I would guess the default stats since this proces has been ongoing since the beginning of the year. If they replaced the base roster with the updates each time they came out all of the changes to batting stances/equipment/faces/etc would be overwritten by the SCEA updates. Not to mention the immense loss of minor league players since only those minor leaguers who have been called up to the show make it into the game.

So my guess is that Knight et al have been making tweaks and tunes to the original rosters that came with the game

OO ok i think i get it now, thanks. So im basically assuming that since the start thers been tweeks to the roster, and this roster coming out now will have those tweeks plus up to date rosters. But another one will have EXTRA tweeks(attributes etc) later on..... WOW YOU GUYS ARE REALLY DEDICATED TO THIS GAME!! thanks

I don't even think it'll be that deep. From what I saw and downloaded today (yes I'm an OS n00b) one guy edited players names to include 99% of the minor leaguers. Another guy added in equipment and stuff like batting stances and windups. Yet another fela added in players faces and uniform #s. And others have contributed madness to get this roster to be as humanely accurate as possible. Then on top of that, this fine gent (KNIGHT) has taken what was posted at Memorial Day and followed all of his roster updates since then including the deadline deals, to make the roster as accurate as godly possible. Basically once we get our hands on this thing it will be acurate regarding all moves and transactions post-deadline. Meaning all of th minor leaguers will be there. all of the trades and dfas and waiver claims will be there (**** Livian Hernandez). And all of the side stuff like roster #s and such will be included. If a tm makes a waiver deadline deal, DEAL WITH IT, or make the move yourself. I mean the fact that Knight is gonna have all of the prospects in place in Pit is amazing. Never mind the fact hat Matt LaPorta will be in Cle and such. I'm so amped for the Mets true-ish AA and AAA (I will use the CAP thread to add Holt, Ikey Love, and Reese myself) that I can't wait for it to come out. As someone who once spent nearly 6 weeks tweaking the NCAA 06 rosters to get them perfect for PS2 and has spent lots of time trying to get all of the minor league prospects involved in this very game (prior to starting my first franchise that a ****ed up save ruined) I know how time consuming, effort consuming, and admirable a quest this really is. I'd pay ya'll if I had thw werewithall, but I will make sure that Ebaums World (translation udnerstood) values your efforts as true interweb super heroes. And you can have all of my fre internets coupons. I'll even give you a bangbros pass when/if I find one.

THANKS KNIGHT AND EVERYEONE WHO MADE THIS ISHT SO SPECIAL

This had to be one of the most summative, informative, bizarro posts I have ever read. All of 4 posts and the understanding of how great we have it as Show junkies as long as we have Knight, Jim, Razr, et al around. I can't imagine the tedious time put in to make this final set. I just hope all you interweb superheroes know how much I appreciate the efforts.

Hey just checking. Did Knight release his roster on the other thread or still working?

I've got the N.L. West and the Brewers to do...then set the lineups and the first release will be ready.
It was actually a lot more work than I thought.
Sorry for the "delay".
