BTW, Jim do u know why guys like R.Barajas, G.Norton and E.Hinsk are not with their real faces(SCEA) evan after u set a call name?
i set their call name in my old season mode and they would have real faces...
Hey Brunnoce, I think we had to create both NORTON and HINSKE. But I think I checked MKs face for Hinske and it looked pretty good. (for an old guy doing them)

Okay,

When moving all the players between teams I used PLAYER MOVEMENT and not CALL UPS SEND DOWNS. That way the batting orders wouldn't get messed up. So I maxed out ole Reggie so he would always be at the top of the FA list. I used him as the go between when moving the players.

Just run all his attributes down.

OOPS! ANSWERED, LOL.

HINT, MAKE SURE YOU USE THE PLAYER MOVEMENT IF YOUR GOING TO MAKE MOVES OR THOSE LINEUPS WILL GET SCREWED UP BY THE AI.

Dang I needed that. It seems our humor is returning again after, what, two months of POW status.

Re: FULL MINORS '08

GUYS REMEMBER.....

If you're going to be moving any players before your franchise use PLAYER MOVEMENT and not CALLUPS/SEND DOWNS or the AI will screw up the lineups.

See the un-stickied FIXES AND WORKAROUND thread which is probably on page ten by now.

Sorry for asking, i know its been talked about, but didnt see it in the last 15 pages of the other thread
I'm not touching the CPU throw power.

Edits are as follows:

Pitchers
K/9 -10
Pitch Control /2

Hitters
Plate discipline -10
Durability fixed as needed (some players need it, some don't)
Reaction time /2 (except for MIF...don't need more singles up the middle)
Baserunning stuff fixed as needed

Yay.

Much thanks for the roster.

Aub, I'm guessing simulated walk totals are higher than they should be, hence the discpline adjustment?

How are the simulated batting averages looking? I know in past years I had to drop contact ratings down about 5 or 6 clicks to match up with avergae ML numbers.

I just need to double check the NLW ALE and ALC as I had to go through them very fast last night. As Jim mentioned....some of the players we did early in the process may have been moved around.
All the players in the set are real.....they may just be in lower A or disabled and not show up in a search. I've been going through the teams and trying to get them exact(within reason....especially where prospects come into play).
I'll list any changes I make for those who want to do them...and I'll also post a version 2 that will be more exact.

One thing that would be a tremendous help for next year is ....a full AAA and AA and then a sort of "prospect pool" that would be say 15-20 extra slots for each team that could be filled with prospects. This would also alleviate another problem IMO.....the trade engine is limited(as well as the FA moves and signings) by the fact that the game needs to keep the rosters in a certain order. That's why I think you see a lot of catcher for catcher trades.....the game tries to keep the rosters "intact". Having a pool of extra players....not assigned to a team that is playing or being simmed would go a long way towards helping fix that....It can trade a B catcher in AA or AAA for a MLB SP down the stretch in the playoff run....because it can then take one from the pool instead of having to worry about keeping the roster intact through the trade itself.

Anyway....These rosters are set for default sliders...any level....EXCEPT I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND RAISING THE CPU ARM STRENGTH TO +5. Not necessary, but do it and you'll see why.

About Bako, Mercker, Lincoln.....you did find them right!?...Sorry about that roster not being set correctly....between Jim and I sending this thing back and forth about 100 times....I guess it go lost in the shuffle. Jim set the MLB 25 man rosters and had told me about the missing guys...I created them and forgot to move them around......I probably figured I would catch it later and then last night...right around the Reds I just started checking that the rotations had SP and CL in the right slots and a quick cursory glance at the lineups. Please guys....I tried to tell you last night....for those three divisions mentioned....go through the three levels of lineups....and check that all the players in there are in the right positions and if you go to MiLB.com.....click on the team page for that club.....go to schedule and then boxscore..you can set the lineup straight from the manager! I'll be doing that and posting in version 2 for those not inclined..
Sorry about that.....I blame myself for "rushing" a little at the end. ....next year...no thread with 2000 posts and over 100,000 views! I'm just springin' it on you guys!

About players that were on the beta and not in the "final".....I must have needed players for whatever reason...and they were the cut. Without the extra room....and prospects who are really not on AAA or AA.....someone has to draw the short straw....just the nature of the beast.

Hope you guys enjoy these...and the MLB adjusted set when Aub is done. I'll send anything I fix to Jim and he can throw it in the updated set...

Game on!....

I didn't miss them....they are in there. Bako and Lincoln are in AAA...Mercker in AA(or vice versa)...I just forgot to put them on the appropriate level.
