the port (hole) for the USB is on the front of the PS3. The same ones that you plug your controller into. Plug it into the front , just like you would a controller.

This really has me stumped. When I tried switching the 7 files it says corrupted data so that means the PS3 is recognizing it. Then when I put the proper roster on the stick it says that there is no data. The folders are in the exact same structure so I haven't got a clue what is going wrong

Scott, did you read my PM? I don't understand why you are switching anything.

When you unzip the zip file there will be a PS3 folder inside of it. Don't open it, don't switch a thing, the roster is inside. You just need to take that PS3 folder, copy it to your flash drive, insert it in the PS3, go to the SAVEDATA folder, open it, scroll up to the USB icon, click X and...ta da, there it will be. Then copy it by hitting the triangle button.

If that's not working,perhaps there's something wrong with your flash drive.

WELL can i buy a flashrive for my ps3 or does the 40 gig not carry flashdrives at all

WELL i was told byt teh place i brought my ps3 that my 40 gig does have a flashdrive i just dont know what to connect to the back of my pc do i use the one that i use to connect my controllers bc thats the only thing i have to connect to the usb ports and i also have the one for my mp3 player but that doesnt do me any good and how do i save it to the ps3 bc i dont see that option and do i have to have my ps3 hooked up online
